I'm also a fan of powder coating my wheels. I've done it to my last 2 bikes and just might do the front wheel on this one when it comes time for a tire change. I think I paid right around $100 a rim. 1 huge benefit is that all I have to do is give the rims a blast of lemon pledge and they wipe clean with little effort. Very easy to do. I have always gone with a silver metal flake. When clean, they gleam nicely in the sun.
Measurements for extending the swing arm 3" and then there is the sprocket that needs about 1" to the right. I do not want to have to go the jackshaft route...
2023 Rally 900 used as loaner for State MC Endorsement 2000 miles $10990. BTW, been riding over 60 years! Quit 2 wheels a year ago..... Thanks for responding!
It's what post colonial republics ( gangsters) do- pardon family members and associates ( henchmen) of any and all crimes that may have, are being,or will be, committed. Even tho none have been convicted ...yet. Right out of the playbook of Idi Amin Dada Field Marshall Doctor and President For Life. Whether all this is Constitutional remains to be seen....if the Balless Republicans have the guts to challenge and pursue these mobsters.
Indeed. If I recall correctly, simply by creating a user name, password etc...Turtle Wax will offer further discount codes. I believe 15% off, again Free Shipping if over $15 purchase price...and no sales tax. I especially enjoy screwing the government out of the tax. Yep..that little devil on one shoulder whispering....do it...do it. So I do. Will post more as I suspect TW will offer further discounts around Xmas or the New Year. It is an old name and still gives great results. I remember using TW Super Hard Shell Wax on my 1966 Olds 442.
Soaked it in muratic acid (don't know how to spell it)
Then used 2 cans of Break-free to lube up and wash off the acid
Came out cleaner than I would ever got it with a wire brush but I got break-free everywhere

PW don't worry about being a Debby downer I appreciate the advice. Going to visit local Uhaul dealer and get their input. Based on zip codes five rental runs $250-$400 depending on the unit rented. Thank you!
God bless you Mike. I am happy to read about your progress and recovery. Now that you are doing a more rigerous PT you will start to get more mobile and be able to move awway from the walker. PT is now your greatest friend, that and your continued good attitude. Find reasons to laugh every day, several times a day. We will coñtinue to keep you in our prayers.
I'm making progress with the axles, the shop I'm in contact with is leary of the axle warping when they heat treat it, because of the small diameter spline. Going to try induction heat treatment on a test piece to see if it'll stay true...
Holiday season, everything takes longer.
Just watch the vid on that link, Looks like several bulk heads in that muffler , so just drilling it out may not work. Also I wonder if changing the back pressure will effect the running
I am able to ride year round so I don't worry about putting it away for winter and mice or critters getting to the air filter. I also put screen over the air horns to keep them out. That being said, I just change the filter every 25,000 miles. I only ride on the road and the filter doesn't get very dirty. I could probably go longer but it's also a good time to really check things out under the seat. Take your time and as said before it gets easier every time you do it.
To avoid the mess I cook Bacon in the Microwave on High for 4.5 min. I like mine Crispy.. I have a Bacon Cooking Covered Plate that keeps all the grease from getting the Mic dirty.. Works for me....
I agree, however I want to see a picture of your trike with those chrome wheels. After Elon gets rid of the pure waste in our budget we will probably have a surplus but there will be a lot of pushbacks.
My routine is drawn from past experiences owning a large boat and tag axle diesel pusher.
I mix McGuires car wash and RainX car wash. After washing I use a leaf blower to knock most the water off. I used to then use a microfiber towel to completely dry but have switched to a large "drying" towel.
Every 6 months I wax with a commercial wax that RV detailers use down here in Florida. It is manufactured by Marks Supply (Venice FL). Between waxes I have been using BugSlide as an instant wax.
As far as the chrome goes I go over it with window cleaner and every couple of months I use some type of chrome polish. I'm not picky about my chrome polishes. I haven't really found one that works a lot better than another.
