Wiped the bugs off after a nice ride for pizza and beer although the pizza sucked ! Never had a bad pizza at this place but today was the day. The ride gave me time to test the rear shift arm extension and finding neutral . I honestly think along with making neutral easier to find it actually shifts thru all the gears better. One drawback is all the slop that HD allows between the shift arms and the pivot shafts. I dont think that helps anything with gear changes Just silly .
I’ve never had a real problem finding neutral on my Freewheeler, but there has been a lot of discussion lately about extending the rear shift lever. Well, I’m a sucker for gadgets and gizmos, so I had to try this “neutral assist”.
I went for a ride and made numerous complete stops in both first and second gears. At each stop, I easily slipped it into neutral.
