What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

About once a year I'll get it in my head to go for ride without the fairing on. So I go from this:

Just to remind myself why that fairing and windshield was the FIRST change I made to my Freewheeler within a month of buying it.

Took a 600 mile round trip to Virginia near Williamsburg area this Saturday/Sunday. Other than a two mile backup at the Annapolis Bridge on Rt. 50, where I was stuck in first gear for 40 minutes in 90° temps , the trip went great. Beautiful weather. Hope to do it again a couple weeks. The '21 Free performed like a Swiss watch. Never had a complaint from her.

I put these cool gauges on my FLRT today from Formotion. I have a temp gauge on another bike from 20 years ago that is still working perfect.

I have the H-D clock on my wife's Freewheeler, the Formotion clock and thermometer on my FXST. Same instruments at a lower cost.

Very good additions. I like seeing the time at a glance without having to toggle through and looking down and it's always good to know how hot or cold it is.

Installed a new Clearview windshield , 17.5" high, stock width with the vent. I can look easily over it and helmet buffering has been eliminated . I had the stock 16", with 20" being the only other stock option was too tall for me. Overall very pleased
That's the thing with windshields, you've got to buy 3 or 4 of them before you get the combo that works for you. One of the first mods on my '21 Free was a Memphis Shades fairing/windshield combo. Took me two years to get the height and forward position, windshield height and angle right. Still glad I did it.

Finally replaced the front tire on my '21 Free. Got 19,089 miles out of it (not the original) with a bit over 2/32" tread showing. Heading to SC soon so figured I'd better get it done. $406 with labor & tax at Atlantic County Harley NJ. Got me out in an hour and 10 minutes. Perfect time to make it to lunch. New Dunlop tire tread depth is 6/32" if anybody cares.
