What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

I have never owned a Clear View windshield, but a trike I took in on consignment has a new Clear View on it, and it looks to be a high-quality windshield. I wonder what the scratch resistance is like on these...

I’m on my third bike with a Clearview shield on it. Put 80k on my first one and still looked good when I sold it.

Yeah, I am amazed at how clear and absolutely brand new this windshield looks on this '04 Goldwing Trike, though the windshield is 5 years old. Granted the owner took excellent care of the trike, but I see numerous trikes coming through my shop with every concievable brand, style and variation of winshield made and this one stands out. Most will have some level of haze wheather minor or awful and it now seems obvious that the level or care of the windshield has far less to do with its condition than its construction.

I have a 3 (or 4) yr old Clearview on my 2018 Freewheeler. Very happy with the construction, fitment, and scratch resistance.

Had the day off so we went fora nice afternoon ride, stopped and took a few shots with my New to me Nikon D3500 camera. I like it so far. We rode about 125 miles

Changed the motor oil and primary oil. Went with the HD Gear oil. I like the way it shifts. Seems a little smoother than previous fluid. Leaving tomorrow on a 5 day ride. Bike and trailer is almost all packed. Final preps tonight.

I have tried the HD Gear oil in the transmission (but not the primary) and found it to be very smooth, right up there with the Shockproof Redline.

I had it in my 14 and it seemed to make it shift and find neutral a bit smoother. I still just use SYN 75W90 gear oil in the transmission. Seems to do well

I put the Ultra Cool oil cooler on. It is very well made. I will try it out this weekend. I am going next weekend to Mrytle beach bike week so should helping traffic.

I had a total knee replacement :cxtv: last Monday so I went out to garage and looked at it for awhile, Hopefully will be back in saddle in another 2/3 weeks epper:

Also on Saturday - Bristol Hercules engine run up. 14 cylinder sleave valve radial. This was considered a very reliable engine by the crews that flew with them. Here is a pic of the timing gears:

We got a nice 110 mile breakfast run in yesterday, it got pretty toasty in the afternoon, around 93°. The love bug season must have started because it took the Misses and I about an hour to clean up the bike, I think we'll put the bike away for a couple of weeks, it's just not worth all the effort with those little buggers everywhere.
