I recently purchased my Tri Glide. Is there a way to increase the weight limit for passengers safely so both myself and the wife can ride? (We are both larger riders)

Both of us on there are about a total of close to 500 lbs including gear and stuff in the trunk and tourpak. We do have 14” pro action shocks. Not sure if this helps. It never struggled even pulling a fully loaded trailer behind. I think shocks is the key for handling extra weight.

I myself am “fluffy” and never missed a meal, lol!

Your best friend is a GOOD pair of aftermarket shocks. I too, have ProAction shocks (there are also a few other good ones out there) and when you purchase them, you give them your total weight and they will be set up for you. (And you can still dial in the spring preloads and “rebound clicker” fine tuning too!

I also have a tour pack relocation bracket kit just for extra comfort for me and the wife, which even sets her back 2-3 inches (over the rear) and will definitely tell you that there is no issues at all.

But not only will a good pair of shocks help improve your overall ride & handling, it also takes care of this concern . They are well worth it.

I have converted to pro action shocks many years ago and I have had conversations with the folks there, especially George Quay president and founder especially of late. I encourage you to call them up, explain your needs, and they may actually offer various spring rates for those shocks.
