Walked by the trike, in the garage, about 4 times today. Always stopped and looked at something, I see a couple of things that need a little detail. I will be doing a complete clean and polish in the very near future. Jim

Had to tighten the bolt [1/4 inch alien] on the shift lever that connects to the Transmission shift mechanism [shaft]...10 minute job...But If you follow the service manual its major surgery...All you need is a 1/4 inch Allen on a long flexible extension , And tighten from under the trike...If that bolt gets too loose the lever will cause sloppy shifts or at worst it will just spin on the shaft and then you can't shift the gears...
Happened to my FLH, being the shift arm was cast aluminum, being loose wore out the teeth on the arm. The only way to replace the arm was to remove the primary. Replaced it with steel. Still a PITA. Ever since that it's a thing I have to shake it to make sure it's tight.
OK, need to know what you used to glue the rubbers in. I tried to put new rubber to my brake petal, but guess what, a week later it was gone. I guess the glue I used didn't do a good job! LOLRemoved starter and fresh it up, New front wheel bearings and dust shields, Installed new rubber on the floor boards. Changed timing belt covers, and installed new radiater fan to the front. I love doing this of maint, Have a GREAT day!! Charlie
Bit the bullet, purchased and installed Pro Action rear shocks. Anything - and I do mean anything , has got to be better than OEM air shocks! plus if I don't spend it, my kids will. They got a good head start. :shark:
Pro action has a website with YouTube video. Better than I can explaine. As far as photos goes , no pix. As far as oem shocks go, like riding on rocks. Tune in probably around March. They really don't give those puppies away, do they.
What was the problem with the OEM shocks, not enough adjustments to make the ride comfortable? Or was it a handling issue?
Looks like these new shocks have lots of adjustments. How hard are they to adjust while on the trike? Is it a spanner wrench type adjustment?
Did you take photos, if so, please post.
Keep us posted on your new "ride"?
Thanks,
Rosy

Installed krome works 2" wide sweapers. Haven't rode with them yet, however just sittin on it , noticed that I was not leaning forward any more. I'm 6' also. :Excited:I was wondering about these handle bars from Harley. I need a little more reach and the dealer recommended these even though I am 6' tall with a zeppelin seat. Are there any 6' guys or gals out there who may have installed these bars? Do you like them?
