What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Russel Daylong

Installed My new Russel Daylong Seat. Took a ride around the block before the rain came. Hopefully a longer test ride is coming before the snow falls. Feels like I'm going to be Happy with the new seat

Replaced tail lights with LED bulbs.

I read in one of the treads about replacing your stock bulbs with LED replacements. I ordered some off Ebay....the cheapest price I could find....and just plugged them in. I did have to run the emergency flashers for a few minutes to make everything sync up and then tried the right and left turn turn signals. Worked perfectly. They do look brighter so all in all, it was an inexpensive modification.

Left the shop last night after dark.

Yep, folks can see me...if they're eyes are on the road.

Was a nice ride home at 51*. Next 10 days or so are in the 20's-40's. :xzqxz:

Ordered my Power Vision and Thunder Torque inserts last night. Pulled the heat shields off the cat and rear header pipe. Cut open the cat and pulled the guts out. Tomorrow have to go to town and get gas for the Mig. Then put it back together... See how it sounds with the baffles out and the Thunder inserts in. Already pulled the packing out of the mufflers in the summer. May have to tweek the baffles if its to loud with them out. I know its still to quiet with them in without the inserts.

Got the Cat welded back together. The tuner came today... thank you D K Products for the fast shipping. Got it installed. Had a surprise when went to hook it up though... I had a wire plugged into the port I needed... I knew the plug was right because its the same one I used on my 2010 Ultra... Traced it down. It went to my light on the bars that let me know what gear I was in.. Since I'm only going to have the tuner hooked up long enough to get a good tune, it wont make any difference... I dont know how I ever rode for 50 years without a light telling me what gear I was in....

Bike sound better without the cat and smoother with the tune... Now to wait for warm weather to try it out...

One of the previous owners had one of those , what gear your in thinies installed. Stoped desplayin numbers , now displays EN  But the #6 stills displays on the speedo !

Hope I can remember the sequence.

Got my Thunder Torque Inserts today. Recorded just baffles, then no baffles. Then Inserts. then baffles with inserts. They dont sound the same on the video as they do in person. Think I'm going with baffles, I removed the packing before, and inserts. 4" open pipes are to loud for me. And the inserts don't make much difference. The inserts do give it a lower tone, and a different sound. Been raining and I live on a mile and a half of gravel. So there's no road test. And the forecast is 4 to 8 inches of snow Sunday..... No test ride for quite some time.... If its to quiet I can play with the baffles, but I pull a trailer, so its going to be bouncing back at us some too...

What seat are you testing/demo-ing. The suspense is killing me!:)

It's a Mustang Touring Seat.

Made a 160 mile ride yesterday in what turned into high wind conditions. The winds were 20+mph gusting to 30+ with cyclonic movements at times. Headwinds, crosswinds, and tailwinds, and all occurring within seconds. Definitely not ideal riding conditions and gave me good physical and mental workout. The evening windy weather advisory came too late for me.

what year glide? what kit ? do customs? is it possible to go any higher?

You might be able to go to 2.5", all depends on your Trike. HD is not really tight on their tolerances and it varies trike to trike. Instructions on how to check are at this LINK.

Sat in the garage talking to my trike. Telling her why we can't go out and play, because of the 13.8 inch of snow.

We got .75 of it in liquid form that could of been 9” of snow if colder.

Another Demo Seat

After 8 days and 500+ miles, I returned the Demo Mustang Touring Seat w/Backrest (P/N 79556) this morning. Signed out a Demo Road Zeppelin Air Adjustable Seat. Only had time to take a short 65 mile ride. Forecast not riding friendly for next couple of days. So far, I've Demoed the Harley Tallboy and Hammock Heated Seat, and Mustangs Super Touring w/Backrest. Hopefully, I can get good seat time on the Road Zeppelin. Snapshots of the Zeppelin with my Mustang Mounted Backrest.
