I have a quick question fo the group.
I bought my 2014 Tri Glide used from a dealer. How can I tell if it already has a lift kit on it? Measurements? A brand name other than HD stamped on the piece?

Thanks

Hi,Bob. DK Custom doesn't stamp their brackets,IIRC,so here's the best way to tell short of comparing brackets.

If I can be of further help, don't hesitate to ask.

Not really if you take the time to read the instructions and are fairly good with tools.

I just bought a 2016 triglide and when looking into the tourpak I seen some shock brackets, ask them is this a lift kit bracket or stock, they said stock, the lift kit is installed already. So I measure from the ground up to bottom lip of rear fender and it is 11 inches, I then measured 2 other trikes they were 10 inches, so I guess there is a lift kit on it. They told me it is the Legend lift kit, that is what the dealers around here sell unless you buy your own.

Was wondering if anybody would measure there's to see high from ground to bottom lip of rear fender is, just curious is all.

All for now Trampas

Ligt Kit

I just put a lift on mine last week - don't know the brand. I just went out and measured it and it's just under 11". Originally the top of the fenders were just above the top edge of the rim, and the pipes were about 3" off the ground - Real tail dragger. Now the top of the fender is almost at the top of the tire and the pipes are about 6" off the ground. Oh and there were no instructions. Still only took about 2 hours. It took longer to figure out how to get it up in the air than anything else. Happy trails.

Man, I can't repeat your statement about "reading the instructions" LOUD enough... AND drop both sides...do not try to do one side at a time. You'll be wanting to shoot the neighbors dog is you if try and do it one side at a time.
