Maggie Valley 2024

We got home and unloaded the camper, now we are trying to put everything up and clean up. Thanks to Mike and Shirley for leading some great rides, and thanks to everyone who showed up and participated.
Pwhoever hope your healing goes good and John and Jan hope you get your truck figured out.

We're in Tifton, GA for the night, boy did we hit some rain on the way, hope Bill, Janiene, Randy and Connie didn't get too wet riding north. John and Jan, bummer on the breakdown, missed you guys. Pwhoever, hoping your recovery is swift and Ray finally gets a tune that will make his trike happy. We should be home tomorrow night.

Mine said Ben Patel General Manager. I honestly don't know Michael's last name so I was withholding judgement about ownership.

Maybe that's why we were placed on the backside of the hotel and upstairs away from everybody. They must have known what bad asses dlabel and myself were.
you need to tell when making res you r with Trike Talk & request front down . then again maybe they knew u were a trouble maker lolololololololol

We made it home this afternoon after almost 6700 miles. We cut our trip short after I started having some health issues with severe headaches and blurred and double vision. Left my trike and trailer at my sister's house and went to Richmond, VA to see my other sister. Picked up my trailer and bike on Friday the 13th and left and drove to Knoxville, TN on Saturday to see our daughter. We left Knoxville on Monday for home and later Monday morning got a text from my neice saying that my sister that we saw on Friday had passed away on Monday morning. She is to be creamated and services will be held at a later date. Did not make it to Flordia to see my oldest sister and my wife's sister. Maybe some other time.

For all the folks that attend the ralleys in Maggie Valley, you might expect some changes the next time you go there, probably 75% of the building got damaged during yesterday flood. One video that I saw it looked like a ragging river flowing down the street toward the south/east end of town.

Ray, I looked at some videos and pictures around the Maggie Valley area and up in Asheville... WOW! Doesn't look good! Prayers for everyone in the storms path of destruction.

I haven't been able to find any videos of Maggie Valley damage. Hope there was not a lot of damage there.
