Maggie Valley 2025

I called a little while ago and booked my room. I will be arriving (hopefully this time, fingers crossed) on September 7th Sun to Fri Sep 12th. I asked about ground floor up front and was told that's where my room will be. Turns out I'm also a Best Western Rewards member too. Not sure when I signed up for that but I was told the BW Rewards rate is even lower than the senior rate . However I forgot to ask what the nightly rate was.

And just for info, it's free to sign up. Here is the link for anyone interested.

I get nothing for anyone signing up, just wanted to pass it along.

Oops, I just called back and I'm glad I did. I didn't get the email so I called to find out my rate I was told my discounted Rewards rate was $99 a night and $109 for Thur night. I mentioned that through the BW online site, the rate was $91 a nite for the senior rate and $85 for the Rewards rate but the Rewards rate was non refundable.

He then updated my rate to $91 a night for Sun through Wed but $109 for Thur Nite. That will work. Plus I build up more rewards points!

Thee plot thickens. Clicking on the "See more rates" there is a refundable Rewards multi night rate of $84.75 including tax for Sun thru Wed and $91 plus tax for Thur nite. Total price with tax is $474.60. I may just call back and cancel, book online, then call back in a day or two and request a ground floor room up front. I know it's not a huge price difference but looks like it would save about $45 which is enough for a couple tanks of gas. Everything helps.

You do realize that's the week after we will be there.

Ok, booked online at promo rate for Aug 31st Sun and checking out Sep 5th. Total including tax is $483.48. I will just call direct to them tomorrow to cancel for following week and then see if they can set me up on ground floor up front for this one. Thank you @Marc H for pointing out my senior moment.

I got the oopsie corrected. I called direct to hotel and had them cancel my Sep 7-12th dates and confirmed the Aug 31 to September 5th. So that part is done. I then requested a ground floor front room but was told that pretty much all of them are already reserved by you guys. I did ask about a 2nd floor upfront and was told that's a good possibility and she was going to put a note with my reservation. So as of right now, I don't have a specific room but hopefully they will be able to accommodate my request.

Now you've gone and done it! That's like saying the "S" word up north here or the "R" word...
For Zammy her name was Irma and she chased him for a solid week across 4 states and she was not bothered by Joann's prescence at all.He was severely traumatized and now has nightmarish flash backs at times.

So, what are any plans? As far as chasing waterfalls? Road trips? Trying to lock my vacations down

I had a link to a 4 hour road trip, 5 waterfalls in the area

Your welcome to venture off on your own or we we can plan to see whatever you want.

We're a pretty laid back bunch and very agreeable to different routs.
I'm not sure what there is to see in Chimney Rock tho. That was one of the hardest hit areas.

Wasn't much left after the storm. US 64 is still closed from Bat cave to Chimney rock.

So, i noticed a old thread on cameras
Kind of thinking about this but were campers . Maybe the KOA but they seem to sell out early for special events .
Have to talk it over with the wife .
So, from what im told, its not talking her into maggie valley, its saving for your second trip down. Best of luck, it looks to be a great ride time
