Maggie Valley 2019???

Thanks Paws,

I'm sure I will be passing through Texas on my way west. I went to basic training in San Antonio, technical school in Wichita Falls and then my last assignment was in Abilene. Passed through Midland back in 1993 on my way to Ca. Will have to plan a couple days around Midland.

Hey Dennis.... There’s nothing to see at Midland but high prices, a bunch of dangerous, crazy traffic, lots of wind and dirt in the air, and mesquite bushes!

Those are lots of reasons why I finally moved to Kerrville after having been in Midland since 1976.

The closest thing to scenery anywhere near Midland is the Fort Davis/Alpine area.

John is right - the good riding is in the hill country and San Antonio has enough military interest for anyone - as well as everything else there!

Plan on it - especially in the cooler months. Texas is too hot to enjoy much during summer months - riding-wise anyway.

I'll add Kerrville to my list!! I've heard of "The Three Sisters"....looks like a nice ride. I'm sure there are many more fun roads. I have friends in the Houston that I would like to see. Maybe could even stop and bother Zook..LOL

Sure isn't looking good for my trip to Maggie Valley! Titusville is in the bullseye of the path for the hurricane! If the present course doesn't change, I'll have to cancel. After being without a trike for 8 months, I was looking forward to hitting the road again. Couple more days will have a better idea where and when! Tomg

Sorry we had to miss it. My wife's next specialist appointment is next Tuesday.

Did anyone post pictures? I only found one so far in the Breakfast Club.

Had a wonderful time in Maggie Valley with lots of new friends. Special thanks to Papa Zook, Ol' School, Zammy and everyone else there for making me feel welcome and part of the family. See you all there next year.

Mark, it was great meeting you too! You fit right in and ARE part of the family! See you next year! Stay in touch!
