Dimmer dash lights.

Just brought my new to me 2008 Stallion home today.

The indicator lights on the dashboard are bright when I first turn the key on and the system does its’ self-check.

Once underway the lights (high beam – turn signals – cruise control – etc.) are so dim I can’t see them.

In a car I’d adjust the dimmer switch but I can’t find one on the Stallion and the owner's manual makes no reference to it.

Does anyone know how I can adjust them brighter?

THANKS in advance.

sorry there is no adjustment to the instrument lights

at least none i ever found

Thanks. I'm going to see if I can find a wiring diagram. There has to be a source voltage that is reduced and I may be able to shunt it and use a dropping resistor to get the desired brightness.

Thanks. I just found a site online last night and downloaded both maintenance and the electrical manual's in PDF.

Just a shot in the dark here, but on a Ford ranger, I’m not mistaken. There’s a light sensor on the dashboard that automatically dims or brightens the interior lights maybe it was left off on the Stallion…?..

THANKS! I'll check for it.
