Update on Becky... she is in Penn State Hershey Medical Center on an IV antibotic from her second surgery on her ankle she broke two years ago and the first surgeon messed up. She has cellulitis on her inner ankle...They said there is no infection pockets around the bone so it is muscle, skin... probably in through the weekend... so much for Maggie Valley this year. Health comes first.

My husband grew up in Walkin Glen in the 60s a cool mt.

Beautiful area, we actually spent the night in Horseheads. I want to go back and spend more time up that way. We basically rode up rode around the lake and started back south.

We met this fellow that worked as a firefighter for the town, he invited us down to his dock and and house…

We are gonna hope for the best... Won't be first time in the rain, & prob. not the last. 3 weeks after we return from MV ,we head for the AZ gathering.

we were in Asheville just over a week ago and the forecast called for rain everyday but we only got real wet one day the rest were just lite showers and kept things cooled off may have to watch the radar and go away from the rain or carry a bar of soap :xzqxz:

We have the gear to ride in the wet,I just hate to leave and head into 70% chance of rain knowingly… I just came back from WV and rode a full day in the rain and it was miserable.

I'm seeing 58% chance for scattered rain all week.Works for me.

Devil is in the details. I use Accru Weather, because it gives me an hourly outlook, and the total amount of rain for the day. Usually for less than 1 hour and less than 1/10 of an inch.

If everyone brings rain gear, it won't rain. All it takes is one forgetful idiot and it will rain. Don't be that guy!
