I pulled the cover off the TG, did a little cleaning and polishing though it really didn't need it. Then installed a new gear shift linkage. Like everyone else anxiously awaiting some riding weather. Going to be ordering the DK shock package shortly.

Trunk upgrades

I installed the trunk interior light kit, retractable tethers and added a jump starter and air compressor.

I like the light kit and the way it turns on automatically when you open the trunk door, but it did not throw enough light for me. So I added an additional LED light to the kit. Now it lights up the entire trunk interior.

The retractable tethers are nice, but the one side was very tight installing due to the paint. They work great now that they are installed.

I had previously purchased a mini jump starter and a mini air compressor to keep on my bikes. I added heavy duty velcro to the back of the compressor and the jump start storage pouch and stuck fast to the inside on the trunk liner on the side out of the way.

New Brake Pedal and Footboard spacers

I also added today, a new extended CVO style brake pedal and pad, my CVO footboards, a boot guard and 3/4" spacers.

The extended CVO style brake pedal is from Softbrake. It lowers the brake pedal closer to the footboard. It gives you more room for your foot on the board and less movement to use the brake pedal. The 3/4" spacers are to bring the boards outward away from the exhaust heat and make it a more comfortable stance for your legs. The boot guard keeps you from putting your boot up against the pipes, and the CVO pad and footboards are to just add some CVO style. I'll update the left side next weekend.

Yesterday I added lighted switch packs and the bike-to-bike communication system (CB radio for us dumb folks). Made an appointment with the dealer to "marry" the radio module to the boombox.

Got gas for it.......I really just ride it i promised myself when i traded in my 11 for the 17, Thats it no more monkeying around with a Trike.. ... I only added the floorboard extensions, And adjustable cluch lever...:Shrug:

Power for the lights comes from the connections on the switches. There are 2 conns. on the right switch and 1 conn. on the left switch. I think that is right if not there are only three conns on the switches. The hardest part is getting the cover off of the trigger switch. Takes about 30 minutes per switch. I bought them from BoardTracker Harley for $206 for the set. They add about 0.2 amps to the current draw for the switches.

They sell batteries, jump starters and some other accessories check it out at https://shop.antigravitybatteries.com/ Once you look there, check out some of the motorcycle web sites or ebay. You can get some good deals if you shop around.

I have the original XP-3 jump starter, it comes in a bag that holds the jump starter, jumper cables and some cables to let you run other things like a cel phone. The jump starter is only 5" x 3" x 1". It also has a built in flashlight. I also purchased the hard wired jumper wires and have them wired to the battery and tucked behind the side cover. They do not recommend you use the battery tender wire for the jump starter (too much voltage). I also purchased the tire inflator that is only 4" x 3.5" x 1.5" in size. I then used heavy duty velcro and attached to the inside of the trunk out of the way.

I also have an XP-10. These things are great. I have used them to start everything. I even used the XP-10 and let it hooked up to my daughters battery to drive her car home after she broke the alt belt.

Took her out today. I definitely like the reduced reach clutch and brake levers as well as the extended brake pedal and footboard spacers.

I noticed my Toe shifter was loose so I tried to tighten it up. No deal pull as I may nothing changed so new shifter shaft easy change although I did go with a pricey one from Pingel it has a zerk fitting on the motor end grease once a year or as needed. a little hard to see but it sure is smooth. The old shaft sure was corroded from no lube my neglect I suppose.

yes that is the one a little pricey but it is easy to install. You have to hold the Zerk fitting just right to get it to start but no problem just lucky I guess. Gold member JPC ya kno. just looking for replacement for bad one stumbled across it on website. Really hard see from beside trike.

First Ever Time Riding the Trike

Unloaded this morning after getting back from Texas. All the towing advice helped. Removed the fender bras (Free to anyone that wants them) Made a quick run to the store and back with the dog on my lap. That's a post all by itself. going to clean it up tonight and go for an hour or so to get the feel of it.

Installed new DK cooling deflectors

Installed new DK cooling deflectors today. We went riding last night before they were installed so I don't know how well they work yet. My next upgrade will possibly be a tour-pak relocate. Looking for opinions on the different kits.
