What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Installed my Cooling Deflector Wings from DK Customs that I received yesterday. I did notice that mine are different than pictures of others I've seen on TT. Mine have just a straight angle cut instead of the curved cut by the lowers. Mine are at least 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch away from the lowers. Haven't had a chance to get on the highway to see how they work.

2016 Deep Jade Green and Black TG.

Happy Birthday !

I rode mine to Crystal River today. When I got home, my Sheepskin had been delivered :clapping:. I will try it out tomorrow.

Today we are a bit less than halfway thru our trip, mile-wise, so decided to change the oil and clean the permanent filter.

Pulled into some shade behind Auto-Zone...makes it easier to turn in the old oil. Plus they usually have a special for a drain pan/roll of towels and funnel for less than $7, in case you don't have access to them.

It is SOOOO nice to pull the filter with it being relocated. :)

Put the cleaned filter back on and drained the oil from the tank.

Put the plug back in, dumped the oil into the tank, put the old oil in the empty bottles.

Oil & filter change on the road in less than 30 minutes.

There are 3 different versions of the CDW's

Sounds like you got the first ones pictured above.

After getting home from the Americade trip, washed off the grunge and checked for any loose stuff. Held up well. Also noticed that she ran a lot smoother using non-ethanol fuel from Stewart's.

Kevin, I noticed from the photos that you use Red Line oil. Do you use 20/50W or straight 50W?? Been thinking about running straight 50w during the summer due to the heat this year>

Using the 20/50 on this trip. We have already spent, and will be spending more time in some cold weather.

Hot weather only...I use straight 50 or 60 weight.

Cool!

Had the dealer install my new black 2+2 wide sweepers from Khrome Werks, then I got the Tri Glide home and installed the DK footboard extensions. Tomorrow I will install the 1.5" deluxe tank lift kit.
Cool get some pics love to see em. :pepper: ride safely fearless

Did my 40K service on my '14, getting it ready for a week in Ft. Lauderdale. I have to say that the Dual Cool setup from Kevin makes riding in the Florida heat more bearable!

Ride man, ride!

Washed all the bugs and dust off. Shined up with Glare Polish. I highly recommend the Glare product line. Use it on both My bikes and My Airstream.

Did pre-ride checks and adjusted the clutch for rides this weekend.

Also removed left side heat shield to see how much difference it makes.

Finally washed all the road crap/flying critters off the trike. What a collection ..........:D 4200 plus miles in one week sure kills a lot of bugs

Spent half a day getting it cleaned back up after our trip to Lauderdale... with a side day trip to Key West; 4+ hours each way, most in blistering heat. There were time at 50 mph where I checked the vehicle status; 33 psi oil pressure at 105-107* air temp! Thank God (and Kevin!) for the Dual Cool setup. A great week on the road!

gotta see'm

Give us a look have never seen fishtails on trike get us a few pics. please asap.ThumbUp ride safely fearless

Installed the fishtails today. Mellowed out the Street Cannons. Can't wait to head back to the mountains.

My picture taking ability is abysmal to say the least. They end up sideways when I try to upload them. I believe the issue is that I use an Android tablet.

Installed the TX and US flags from The ProPad on the luggage rack. Adjusted the rear tire pressure downwards to the recommended 26 psi. Both were 3 psi above ! :AGGHH:

Good Luck with whatever you do.

The main reason I bought my TG now is because my job situation isn't very good, so I thought, since I have the money now (and won't later), that I better buy the TG now and be guaranteed I'll have something to ride for the next 20 or so years. ThumbUp

Besides my hips are starting to worry me. Maybe another 3 or 4 years on a 2 wheeler would be my limit. I sure don't see the option of "NOT" riding in my 70's and 80's. :)

It would be nice if I could afford 2 bikes. A 2 wheel and the TG :D

Older Sportsters are getting more affordable as an option to still get your 2 wheel "fix" every once in a while. They are a little lighter to deal with at intersections at a stop than a full dresser too.
