What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Some oils definitely run cooler than others. I've never tested the difference between Mobil 1 and Amsoil...but just in case, I would wait until after you make your oil cooler change out and test before changing oils.

It would be a bummer if the temps are cooler after you changed the cooler but did not know if/how much of it was because of the cooler vs. the oil.

Kevin
That is my plan after all temperatures are recorded with Mobil 1. Then just may. Redo test with both coolers with Amsoil just to see the difference thank for the input.

Uneventful Weekend....

The whole weekend has been a washout filled with Thunderstorms, Tornado Watches and Flash Flood Warnings. Since there was no mods or maintenance that need to be done, I decided to give the trike a good washing early Friday morning to get rid of a lot of that accumulated pollen. Yesterday I gave the sheepskin cover an energetic brush and comb. Today, I brought the seat and saddle bags inside and gave them a good cleaner/conditioner treatment.

This made the weekend not a total loss.....but I would much rather have been riding.:(

Action Camera mount arrived

A few days ago I purchased an action camera and nothing that came with it seemed to lend itself to the Harley. So I ordered one designed for the Batwing faring. We shall see how it works as time goes on. By the way bugs are a good thing we all know what they mean. LOL

Got in 320 miles today. About 100 along the Ohio River. Got back to 3 miles from home & rain started. Barely wet pulling into garage. Must have passed 100 bikes today ,all on the 2 lanes. Great day for a ride. 84* most of the day but we had a lot of shade on those 2 lanes.

Pool duty today

Ride tomorrow plant garden possibly Monday beautiful day today. I hope tomorrow will be as nice. Ride safe Fred/Jeanne

200+ today

Great ride sun warm good people friendly and no chin diapers. Old Shiney ran and rode like a fine sports Trike LOL. I still can get over how great it rides and handles... Wow Travel safe Fred

Re-torqued rear wheels

I had those wheels off and I have put about 50 miles since so time to recheck the tightness. Everything was good in lug nut land 105Lbs. tight just like the first time I tightened them up. Another 50 or so miles I'll check again easy to do costly if not... Fred

O2 Sensers

Hello,

I have a 2012 TriGlide. I put a a new Balance angle sensor in today. I put this in because I had to unplug it to get back home from about 200 miles away. This did not however fix the problem. I keep getting P0132 and P0152 codes. The bike will start and then die after about 1 second. Any ideas as to what could be happening. Last week I put a new chrome voltage regulator in. I did notice that the voltage is higher than it used to be on the Volt gauge.

Other recent upgrades. RC Xcelerator tuner and stage 1 air cleaner.

Help

Thanks

Rick

Your codes are related to the front and rear O2 sensors, have you made any other changes to your trike?

See this link on how to check for codes

New shoes for the baby!;) My rear tires on my 2017 look like they will last 60,000.

I still have not put my new Avon Cobra front tire on yet, I got side-tracked with heart surgery. I will wait till the fall.

Just rode around for my coffee run, and in the afternoon went shopping...I haven't been able to break away from the homestead lately with the Trike that is...Can't carry chainsaws gas and dirt bikes on the trike...

Wouldn't you know it...

As we all know I put larger diameter tires on the Old Trike this past cold season. We have not had an opportunity to be out after sunset. Until the last time we were out we did get back after dusk, and wouldn't you know it the person who does all the work on this fine ride never adjusted the headlight to match the new stance. I really slowed down those last 3 or 4 miles critters were out and about. So this evening we went out for a short purposeful ride with a Phillips screwdriver to adjust the light where it needs to be. I may have to make a socket to adjust the passing lamps, suppose to rain tomorrow that will give me time to get that done. Ride safe Fred

Rode it to the shop yesterday...was a perfect 78 degrees and sunny. Recorded some audio, while riding, for an upcoming video on ELECTRIC Harley Motorcycles for kids. :xzqxz:

Not planning on riding today...busy at the home office all day...gonna be 90* and sunny today.

Completed the 1,000 mile service on my 2020 TG using Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w/50 synthetic oil in the motor and Harley's new Heavy Synthetic Gear Oil in the primary and tranny . . . and yes I did use the new larger M8 filter.

Day before that I installed my new Freedom 8" touring style windshield and went for a 125 mile ride. Wow what a difference - it must be at least twice as thick as the oem shield and it's crystal clear and I love the wider touring style. A great choice for sure.

Jerry, could you post a pic of new shield?? Went to their web site But, didn't see the wide. I do have the Reaper from LRS but would like to see yours. My service is on the 16th & going to let dealer install the 14" shocks & the front suspension from ProAction also. Fred (Fearless) offered to come over from Pa & help me,but I have about 400 free money, & thought with the custom paint we have, if it got chipped or anything, it would be on their dime not mine.

Dry rot time to swap out`

Good job on the tires. Dry root is the worry when they are that old.
That is why I replaced ours OEM 09'. They cracked at the root of the tread ribs on the face not sure it was serious but no chances with tires. I wanted to experiment anyway and I'm certainly glad I did. 205X70RX15 Speedo runs 2 MPH slow now not an Issue

Just had one of our admin police cars had the tread split open from dry rot in that very place. luckily they were only going 30 mph when it happened. Car was not assigned to one person so the tires got over looked until that happened.
