What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Update on New Flat Top windshield

LRS 9" Ultra Flat Top I don't believe I will ever change it more like I will not be permitted to. My Adult Supervision (wife) cannot believe at 70+ mph it worked so well. LRS advertises passenger comfort they are very correct with that statement. ThumbUpride safely fearless

LRS and highway pegs

I put on the LRS 10" flattop windshield just like Fearless' 9". It will be a few days before the wife can test it from the back seat. Also installed highway pegs with the H-D mini-footboards.
Last week I installed the Dk comfort-lifts that I ordered right after putting a foot long scrape on the driveway from the pipes when I unloaded it from the trailer. Only a 1" scrape on the pipes.

Finally got around to the highway pegs now that we're home and can ride again, took an 80 mile jaunt today and found out I need a few minor adjustments regarding placement of the pegs.

Picked up the registration from the shop today so I can put the plates on her now. Was interested in DK lift kit, but I talked with Harley service tech about this. Like always he said u put non Harley parts on and have a problem it voids the warranty. Being its a 2016 I don't want any trouble for the next five years. But they would have to prove it was the part that caused the problem. So I am in limb now.

First mistake, talking to the service tech or "accessory installer" as we call them.

Put the lifts on and don't say a thing about it. It is very hard for the average wrench to tell the lifts from the stock ones. Would take a well trained eye to spot them.

You'll get that 'canned' warranty statement about anything you do to your ride. If they ever tried to come out with Harley gas they'd say you void you warranty unless you use their gas.

Like somebody suggested change dealerships.

Got some highway pegs for the Misses put on today, she's always stretching out her legs due to the new knee, seemed to work out fine so far.

I know the dealer would say what they did as its not a Harley item. All the Harley shops here are owned by the same guy.
So if I add the lift kit just do it ans don't say a word.

Debugged!

Removed 10,000 bugs that died on my bat wing, lowers and rear fenders. And took bride of 30 years for a 100 mile ride. This evening I'm a all star! Happy wife happy life. ThumbUp Ride safely fearless

Just asking if something will void the warranty, Will void the warranty....;)

Since we got the trike in May, everything we've done so far has been for comfort and ease of use, today at the dealership the Misses said we needed some "Bling", LOL. I'm going along with her and looking around, we found the 'Live to Ride' gas cap, it sure looked blingy enough to me in the package but once I got it installed, it actually looked really nice with the gold and chrome against our red trike. Lousy picture, I guess I wasn't steady enough.

Gotta love Bling!!

Cut off the end of the 2014 Stock slip-ons. Surprisingly small baffle, not surprisingly a real power robber, but I suppose a better try than some previous incarnations.

Rolled my bars forward (previous owner was quite small statured, and rolled bars back so he could reach. Finally got off my ass today to take the fairing pieces off enough to reach the 2 rear neck bolts, and put them a little past where the factory had them....it's like a new bike! :D

Also installed a piece from eglidegoodies that allows riding lights to stay on with high beam (I know it's a fairly high amp draw, but I plan on replacing the riding light bulbs with leds from DK)

I added a custom light bar under the top box. It is an Air Wing light that I mounted to a piece of cut and drilled angle aluminum, and then mounted the whole thing to the underside of the top box. It works as a tail light AND as a fourth brake light.

Now just put some red reflector tape over the holes.
Looks good so far.

Thanks for the compliment.
You may like putting cheap reflective tape over your holes to prevent from being.....rear ended. Butt I like holes, and I spent hours cutting, shaping drilling, countersinking , sanding and polishing my holes, because.....I like holes :D

Gee sorry I just thought it looked a little unfinished.
Just my thoughts.

I did this because from behind I thought the exposed rails that hold the top box on looked "unfinished". I like working with aluminum, and making stuff that makes my ride unique. It may not be everyones cup of tea, and that is OK. We all have our own tastes, likes and dislikes.
Here is a link to a build thread.
