What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

This was a few days ago...

Wanted to get the Trike washed for a ride tomorrow, plus for some video that I'm going to shoot on Thursday.

Challenge was that it is 42 degrees and I did not want to get wet and cold.

Solution: I wore my rain pants (it is generally my pants that get wet while washing).

Dunno why I never thought of that before. Between the rain pants, waterproof riding boots, quilted flannel shirt and beanie, I did not get cold at all.

Just realized I did not get a photo of it all clean...and it is all put away.

Will have a couple of photos tomorrow from our New Years Day Ride!

Today, I installed the parts I got back from my painter… (the paint is HOK “House Of Kolor” Kandy Brandywine over SilverMax Orion Silver).

- Klock Werks wrap style (“Slicer”) front fender, PTM lower fairing “skirt”, fairing side wind deflectors, painted air cleaner inserts, and a complete Alloy Boltz ARP stainless 12 point bolt kit. (The previous owner installed those plastic chrome bolt caps that required silicone to hold in place… kinda looked tacky with my set up & finally decided to remove them with quality bolts).

I’m always doing something, lol!… but today was a quite productive day with all these now installed

‘Cmon spring time!!!

Very nice

That paint is great...plus all the attention to detail.

Very cool ride!

Thanks Kevin!
….Today I also just installed the PTM (HOK Kandy Brandywine) on the @DK Custom Products cooling Deflector wings!
(The color is a 100% match, but will take on different shades depending on how the light is reflecting on/off any painted parts).

I also had to double check to make sure I had the correct sides installed correctly, lol!
I think I’m good. 👍🏻

Here’s pics of those installed!

Did you get your wheels plated? They look chrome.
Mine are not really chrome “plated”….. but are in fact: “Powder Coated - Chrome”.
They do not shine as much as chrome plating….but they are still very, very shiny.
(Maybe… just maybe next year, I may send a set out to either Willy Shiny or Excalibur to get chrome plated).

When I bought this trike in September of 2023, I debated and choose the powder coating. It only cost $300 and they do look great, but still not as “brilliant” or “shiny” as actual chrome plated wheels.

In fact, when they powder coat chrome it is a two step process. When they pull them out of the oven with the chrome powder coating, they do look like they were plated, but that coating is not UV stable and would start to yellow very quickly. So they have to powder coat a UV stable clear coat to retain that shine.
That second step does indeed cut down some of the shine, but I can still tell you, they are still extremely nice!

Attached are a few closer up pics that includes the reflection of my finger, the front is easy to compare with the chrome plated front forks & polished rotors, …. and the rear I now have a set or RJS Originals polished stainless steel wheel disks:

Thanks!

Installed the black wheel discs on the rear in addition to fender welting (both from RJS originals), and was riding the trike by my indie shop and the cat fell out. Doing Tab Bam Sticks while at Daytona Bike Week in a few weeks.
