Want to change the light bar to the new LED tour pack light bar. Has anyone done it and how did it fit. Think it's worth it? Can never have too much red light when you hit the brakes.

I did it...there are photos of it somewhere in all my threads. Works and looks great. I did the smoked lenses. If I did it again, I would do the red lenses..Much brighter. I also had the dealer install it. You have to CUT the old one out, then reseal in the new one... Did not want to try that. You will also have to change your tour pac liner for the one made to fit the larger light connections. That is another $$$ 80.00...

A friend helped me do it on my 12 Limited and the only hard part is getting all the caulk removed from around the tail lights. They put enough of that crap on that it would be water tight at the bottom of the ocean. Installation is not hard and they really do light up the back end when you hit the brakes.

Good luck if you decide to tackle it yourself, and have a great holiday season.

Thanks Barry, think I'll save this for a spring project. Stay warm and dry. Happy Holidays from the desert.
