Tour Pack LED Light Kit Problems

I installed the kit yesterday. Running and stop light functions work properly. Either turn signal button makes both turn signals on the light kit blink like hazard blinkers. Took it to my dealer this morning and the master tech that does all their electrical work verified it was properly installed and told the parts guy to order me a new control module that comes with the kit. He said a fellow brought in his new Triglide a couple of weeks ago with a similar problem and replacing that module took care of it. Mine should be here Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The other problem is cosmetic. Mine was an Electra Glide Classic and only had the AM/FM antenna on it. Well, now I have the bare CB fitting sticking up on the right side. I checked the parts catalog and can't find a cap for it and the tech said they don't have any old antennas laying around. Guess I could $30 for a CB antenna just to hide the fitting.

I put the gray lens kit on it. I think it looks pretty good.

Hey olguy...I put the exact same smoked lights on mine, except the Dealer did the work, as I was araid I would screw it up. It has worked perfectly from day 1. There are photos of mine on here someplace with the LED rack lights on too. Every light on my '11 is LED and smoked lenses front and back. I am really happy with mine.
I would just spring for the 30.00 antenna to balance it out.

olGuy - Regarding the exposed antenna screw on the tourpak, go to your local AutoZone, PepBoys, etc. and look for some rubber vacuum caps. They typically go on carbs and come three or four to a pack for about $3. They will slip right over that screw and clean up the appearance.

I actually took both of my antennas off and capped both screws. I rarely use the radio or CB since I have an ipod interface installed.

I may do the same. I've burned several MP3 CDs and never listen to the radio. And the weather band is useless to me. It's either raining or it's not. LOL

Well, the new module came in yesterday as promised. The parts guy said he couldn't give it to me because their tech had to test mine to affirm it was bad. Asst service manager got the tech and the tech assured him it was but still no go. Tech said okay, bring it in tomorrow and I'll take care of it. No charge for labor. Took it in today and guess what. Yep. New module installed by the tech does the same thing. He'll call Harley Tech Services Tuesday to see what's going on since he has seen 3 modules do this in 2 weeks.

But he changed the grips for me at no charge while he had it in the shop. They were still in the tour pack from when I picked them up yesterday. I was going to do it but okay. Great service department in my opinion.
