Rear wheel conversion?

I have heard a few comments about converting a rear wheel to the front when a bike is converted to a trike. Exactly what is necessary in order to do this. Have converted a Kawasaki EN500 and was thinking about purting the rear wheel on the front since it is wider and heavier.
Anybody have any help to offer out there?

I just converted my 09 RSV using Hannigan kit, and I used a rear tire for the front. The only issue is finding the front size in a rear tire. Other than that, it rides beautiful. You should get more mileage using a rear tire.

I don't know anyone that has converted a rear "wheel" to run on the front. Many have installed a tire, designed to run on the rear, on the front "rim".
