Good morning
I have started getting popping or snapping sound when I turn the
steering wheel, it happens when I turn in both directions. it sounds
like it is coming from the aluminum block that the steering wheel
goes through.

Thanks

I think you will notice that the u joints are hitting the block. What ended up to be the issue on my wife's was the steering head bearings were shot. Replaced the bearing and all is well also turns a lot smoother. The worn bearings allow the whole steering triple tree to move back causing the binding.

Hello
the sound is definitely coming from the aluminum block
haven't figured out what controls it yet.
sure wish there was a repair manual.
thanks
