Steering issue

Hello all,

Just went from a 2017 SGS to a 2023 Tri Glide. My suspension in the rear is at about 10. Psi in rear tires 22psi. Front tire I haven’t check recently. Anyways I have less than 400miles on the bike. But here is my question, while riding and going over bumps, my handle bars done have that smooth north and south movement, it’s more of a shaken east and west feeling. Any tips or advice?

Unless it’s severe ….I hate to say it but that’s relatively normal ..But check the air in your front tire I run 30 psi (19 Triglide)..it does make the steering a little heavier but it softens the ride over the bumps…

What about the steering dampener?

If this is a new unit, take back to the dealer.

Sounds like a new trike…Only 4 hundred miles on it… quite often. Someone will buy a trike and because it’s three wheels they will think it will ride like a Cadillac. Also if they’re coming off a two wheeler, they might be trying to counter steer but you can’t do that on a Trike and you end up fighting the bars with a death grip on the handlebars…

but yes, if he’s worried about it, he should take it to the dealer and let them test ride it .
