Speaking of Heim Joints - What About The One On The Steering Stabilizer/Damper?

Since I've recently experienced the heim joints going bad on my pan hard rod (21 Tri, 26K miles), and many of us have heard of or experienced the heim joints being a weak spot on the stock shift linkage, has anyone experienced issues with the heim joint that is part of the Harley trikes (Tri Glide, RG3 and Freewheeler) front end stabilizer/steering dampener?

The inquisitive junior engineer wannabe that resides in the back of my mind is looking to hear of any experiences, good or bad, related to this connection point or the dampener in general.

I want to stay proactive regarding any type of preventative maintenance in this area.

Thanks as always!
