I heard 5 star and a few of the other hotels and businesses along Jonathan's creek had alot of damage. Holiday hotel and some damage but felt they would be cleaned up and open soon. I think the video Doug posted was from across from Butt's on the creek. They had mud from the slide in the video in their driveway and some made it in the building but they had the building cleaned up and open this afternoon. I have not seen anything about the BW only 1 video I found but they were filming the other side of the hwy.

This is from the owner of 5 star's son.
My mom owns the Five Star Inn on Soco Rd and I can’t get in touch with her. I saw a video here but I don’t see her car in the parking lot. Does anyone know where they might have evacuated to? She was still at the motel around 7am and posted a video of the creek. Any information would be appreciated.
Edit: I spoke to mom around 6pm. She and Barry are ok but the hotel may be a total loss. It has a lot of water damage.

Ray, I looked at some videos and pictures around the Maggie Valley area and up in Asheville... WOW! Doesn't look good! Prayers for everyone in the storms path of destruction.

I would like to see the west end up by the hotel. Almost all I have seen are the east end from the fire dept to just past Butts on the creek. I think most of the damage was on the east end by far but my curiosity wants to see the rest.
