Maggie Valley 2018 Registration & Info

Please remove us from the registration "Bill Risley." I have canceled the Best Western ,so if someone needs a room at host, it just opened up.

You shouldn't have canceled I will see you in Eureka Springs and Deadwood I will convince you to change your mind again are I will have to kill you (just kidding) but I will pressure to go to Maggie Valley. Each gathering is better than the last.

Bill, we will miss you!

Bill, I was sorry to see that you had to cancel your Maggie Gathering visit. Our Gathering always has fun rides and laid back family type "front porch" time, and your presence will be missed. May you & yours be healthy, happy and blessed! Not knowing what the issues are, I will be praying for you. Chaplain Dave

Just registered, probably sharing a room with friends from Minnesota, Ken and Diane (Wilbur on Trike Talk)

Tried to go back and edit the registration info - I put the leaving date as 9/6, which is actually the last night we are staying, the departure date should be 9/7. Couldn't seem to edit the info after it is submitted.

Looking forward to some good rides and swapping tales.

We will miss having you around.

Thanks for the reply. We have Eureka,Deadwood,& Tx trips planned. Also we need to see the grandkids in eastern Pa a couple times. Just not enough time for everything. I will have to avoid EZ in both places. He can be a real Nag.lololol kidding Jerry. See ya in a week in ES. Plus when we go to Deadwood, we will take the long way home. Down to Utah & across to Ohio ,about another 3000 miles.

Thank you for the info. Talked it over with the Boss and are now waiting on a call back from the BW Mgr to see what kind of deal they can do on a handy cap room for 9/3-9/6 since it is not in the block of rooms. should still be seeing you all up there.

Well Zook you have done it again, ( you fast talking thing ) talked me into another ride to Maggie Valley. Resv. made, Registration complete all that is left is Sept. looking forwards to seeing all my old friends and making new one.

Jr. & Darlene

That is awesome Jr.! Looking forward to seeing you all again!

JohnnyB thanks for the invite, but sandy and I will be leaving on the 1st, taking 3 days to Maggie. Got reservations already made for motels along the way but thanks again are you in Plainfield Il or Plainfield wi?

things are work are getting scary. I'm guessing that by June I will no longer have a job here. At this time still planning on attending MV in Sept.

If they lay me off or close the doors, I will be selling my house and just about everything else (except the trike). I will be moving south..... location is still unknown but may hang my hat in Greer SC for a bit before moving on to Florida.

funny how fast life can change. You can go from the Penthouse to the Outhouse in the blink of an eye.

So sorry to hear this, good luck.

Ah yes, good ole Camp LeJeune!

So sorry to hear this, good luck.

I was stationed at (or out of) Camp LeJeune for most of my days in the Marines and was with the 2nd Shore Party Bn communications platoon, and spend a lot of time aboard AKA's, APA's, LST's and LSD's with the 6th fleet in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Canal zone. Shore Party marines were the one's who wore 1" square red patches on their caps and trousers. (Shore Party Bn later evolved into Landing Support Companies.)

I was one week short of being in Sgt. McKeon's death march platoon at PI in 1956. Our platoon had just graduated boot camp and we were waiting for our next duty station orders, and many of us went thru the swamp looking for bodies!

Remember the big water tower near the motor pool area just outside the barracks area? I was Sgt of the guard the night a marine on guard duty shot a clip of AP 30-06 M1 ammo at the water tank on the top of the tower. When the OD and I got to the water tower, it took all we could do to keep from laughing our heads off, the tower was spouting water like a giant shower head! The shooter was taken into custody by the base MP's, and never seen again!

Hope to see you at Maggie! Be sure to look Sara and I up so we can bless you and your trike, and talk as Marines! (My trike is a Ferrari yellow 1996 Toyota Corolla reverse trike, you can't miss it!) We will be in the out back section of the motel as we are bringing our Yorkie!

A brother jar-head!

Reservations made...but staying at Comfort Inn. 9/3 - 9/6 Hope my husband isn't the only 2 wheeler. :)

We are trailering, so I am bringing the trike, and the Triumph Bonneville. We have been out to the Smokies a few times, but I haven't had a chance to do Deals Gap on 2 wheels. There will most likely be more than 2 of us on less than 3 wheels.

Lila (the Queen) and I will be there booked at the Comfort Inn...its been awhile since been at a get together there's a lot to catch up on....Zook and Marge can't wait to hook up again
