Just got this trike and would like help with the lifting points. It has the water boards on the sides. Have a long lift with front extension. 1600 pound capacity. Thanks for any help.

Anywhere under the motor but behind the oil filter as @geol points out is fine. It wouldn't hurt to use a small block of wood between the motor and the jack. Honestly I don't do that but it's not a bad idea. Just make sure it's evened out. Also in the rear, anywhere under the plate that the rear differential is mounted to is fine. You just don't want to try lifting using the arms to the right or left of the rear differential.

And just to add, this info was for front jacking pointss on the 01-17 GL1800's. The 18+ seems to have a thinner case material for the motor and more susceptible to being damaged. There have been a few that experienced cracks and holes from things that I believe an earlier model could have survived. So I would use caution when jacking the 18+ models.

Sorry, 1 more things to add, immobilizing the wheels while jacking. If I'm jacking the front end, I try to make sure the trike is in gear or put chocks behind the rear wheels. If I'm jacking the rear, I will usually put a Velcro strap around the front brake lever and sometimes a chock in front of the front wheel.
