Get rid of Cat

I am about 6 hours away from Jackson Hole..Headed to Yellowstone in Sept.. J.Hole is not on the agenda right now though. Sorry!..I sometimes wear shorts in the summer when riding, but levis mostly and chaps if cold enough. Has to be below 45 for chaps with me. Also ride about 50/50 solo and 2up.
No trailer and I keep the R's at 2800 to 3200, which seems to get the best results for performance. The heat was the same no matter what I did. The engine would ping and knock and pop and make funny noises while hot. I couldnt stand it. I still think that some bikes just run cooler for some reason. Maybe depends on the materials used and how it was assembled and by who on any paticular day. I dunno... Thankfully one of the side effects of pumping up the horsepower and getting rid of cats is a cooler running engine. Wont make rally this year...Headed to the California Pacific Coast Highway from Morrow Bay to Crater Lake Oregon in July. Hope we all meet up someday and the root beer floats are on me!!

Like wise, I hope we all can meet up some day. I will be in Jackson Hole mid August.
