Mountain trikes of waynesville, nc has developed a bolt in system for the csc generation two driveshaft problem. This system replaces the intermediate shaft and the rubber donut. This is a total bolt in system. No welding required. It can be serviced in place. Call stan at mountain trikes for more information.

I installed Stan's CV joint on my '10 GL1800 with an '11 CSC Cobra XL kit at 5,000 miles and it's the best improvement I've made on my trike. This is, in my opinion, the fix CSC Should have made on their drivelines. It's smooth and you don't have to have the shaft welded and can be removed easily and serviced. It also improved my mpg's as well by about 3-4 mpgs. Love how smooth and easy the trike is to move around. My rubber coupler when removed had three good sized cracks in the rubber around the bold bushings. I now have over 14,000 miles on my trike and it's just ducky. pepper

Does the driveshaft upgrade fit the older trikes? I have an '05 Cobra.

The CSC driveshaft upgrade was for their new design that started in JULY of 2007.

This was the model that uses the INTERMEDIATE GEAR BOX.

The cost when I got mine last JUNE(2013) was around $500(I have ABS) plus shipping.
Call CSC @434-263-8866 with any questions.

What Issues/Problems exactly is the Mountain Trike Fix "known to cause" ????
Haven't seen anything about that anywhere from those who have installed them to correct CSC's ongoing Shortcomings.

Where are you getting your "Intel" from ????
