Mountain trikes of waynesville, nc has developed a bolt in system for the csc generation 2 driveshaft problem. This system replaces the ]ntermediate shaft and the rubber donut. This is a total bolt in system. No welding required. It can be serviced in place.

Some info for my fellow CSC Trike riders. I've had Mountain Trikes Driveshaft coupler on my '10 CSC Cobra XL now for nearly 10,000 miles. It is a great fix. I've removed the coupler now three times and checked the splines on the transmission end and also the coupler and everything is great. I've had no problems with the Mtn. Trike coupler and I am a firm believer that this is the proper fix rather than welding the driveshaft. The coupler replaces the rubber coupler on the differential end (rear) of the driveshaft and is an easy install (normal hand tools) Call Nancy or Stan at Mtn TRikes and they can fill you in on their fix. I love mine and I don't have any fear of my driveshaft failing while 200 miles from home. Just my experience. Regards, :10:
