I was at a few dealers over the weekend and asked about the price out the door with my pristine 2017 Tri Black and Silver Two tone as a trade with 7600 miles on it towards the 2019 Red and Silver Tri. Both bone stock. The best price I received was $6,800 out the door this is in FL tax tag swap ect. I was wondering if this was a good deal as I may buy this Red and Silver Tri. Thanks for any suggestions. Doc

That is a terrific deal. I made a similar trade but with about $2500 worth of extras transferred to the 2019 and paid several thousand dollars more OTD. I did get the Scortched Orange/Black Denim which is about $1000 more expensive paint scheme. You will like the refinements in the 2019.

Have not seen the Scorched one anywhere around me. But I was hoping you would pipe in as I read your ride report and was impressed by it. Enough so to even consider a trade in on a 2019. You had me looking and yes I think it was a good deal also. So I have decided to buy it. Just did not want buyers remorse . Thanks Capt Bob

That's a smoking hot deal imo. Glad you jumped on it. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Some of my thinking on upgrading from my 2017 to the 2019 was that the 2017-2018 year models with the 107c.i. M8 were only a two year model run in terms of specifications. It seemed to me that the 2019's represented a significant enough change in specs (engine, suspension, brakes, infotainment) to warrant biting the bullet. Additionally, it appears that the 2019's are sporting the 5th generation of oil pumps which has seemed like a bit of an Achilles Heel for the earlier iterations of the new M8 engines? Can't wait to see pics of your new ride.

Even if they are waiving dealer prep you are right at or under $6,000 difference if they are saying $6,800 out the door. To go up 2 model years I don't think I have ever heard of a deal that good! I would not hesitate a second!

Dealer looked around the State for the scorched orange and said there were none in the state and he has none coming. Happy for what I got spent the day adding the stuff I took off the 2017 to the 2019, I have only ridden it 30 miles But as you Capt Bob stated in your write up I have found the same things in this ride. Thanks All !! Doc

Very good looking ride there, I like the color, I have the 2018 in vivid black, was looking at the 2019's but got a better deal on the 2018, maybe the 2020 when it comes out, I said maybe LOL

I think that is one of the top two bestest color combos in my opinion. I tried to lick the computer screen to see if it tasted as good as it looked.......have to report it did not taste as good.
