2014 Tri Glide DK Customs Oil Filter Relocation Kit

Cool n Clean is a Great Upgrade!

I installed it with the plain black hoses, and I am happy with it.

Running from the original oil filter location (black and dark) down the

black frame rails to a black filter adapter with a black permanent filter it looks great.

I used a couple of wraps of 2" wide pipe insulation tape as abrasion-proofing

and two cable ties each place I secured the hoses.

I expect it to be fine until the hoses start to show signs of age in 5 to 10 years.

Even good hose is inexpensive, so no worries.

DK Customs came through for us.

Kevin, how about making a kit even better by positioning the filter vertically

so we can pre-fill it without losing any oil?:D

I asked this question on the HD Forum related thread. And that was: Do you need to increase the oil level to accommodate the extra run of hoses? (It looked like 4 oz for 80" of hose) I did have a follow up question too, and that is: When you check your oil, does it show the extra 4 oz you added? Or does that extra not make it back into the oil pan?

Yes, I’m actually the same person that posted that on the HD forum and took that measurement and indeed is approx 4oz additional.

the level on the dipstick will remain the same as the oil will be contained in the oil lines.

So your dipstick is still the accurate reading to trust.
