I took the Mrs out for a nice ride today, 86 degrees and partly cloudy

Premium gas was $5.05 today, we burned up a tank and had a good day

South Jersey dropped to "only" $4.07, but the weather was nice so I too burned up a tank. Crappiness predicted for the rest of the week.

Wash and shine today after work. Rain prevented much riding. Gas here is 4.90.

Temp got up to 60 yesterday. I put on 85 miles.

Got hit by a turkey at 8AM this morning. Turkeys are real big when their only 2 feet from your nose at 50mph. Was out testing a new configuration of my Memphis Shades fairing and windshield set up, which worked better than I anticipated, and was running at speed checking air flow with the sun in my eyes. Didn't see him 'till he was airborne. Slammed into my fairing and I was MF'ing him before he even impacted. Didn't damage anything, but did knock the right side of the fairing mount back about 1/2". Corrected that when I got home. If I hadn't had that fairing there that bird would have been in my lap.

Had a great 100 mile ride yesterday with some friends. Stopped for an equally great lunch. Three trikes and a Road King.

Some prick hit my Freewheeler today in a parking lot

Did not even have the guts to leave a note, a person saw it happen but did not want to get involved

The left rear fender got the paint scuffed off at the lip above the tail light

Good thing I did not see it happen, I had my gun in my waist band and I would probably be in jail to night

Not overly bad, it took the paint off, but you have to look close to see it

The point is people just flat out do not care anymore, that is what tightens my jaw

I could probably dust some paint on it, a new painted ( Billiard Teal ) fender is $905.49 from Ronnies HD

Man, I am sorry that happened. Glad you were not there to see it.

Agree with you on more and more folks not caring/being responsible for their actions.

We have a new Generation of folks who either forgot their Home Rasing or never had it to begin with.

With my 2017 Triglide (Blue) I took a Crayola crayon and match up the blues best I could with heat gun on low I heated up the scratch and rub the blue crayon into the scratch let it cool down a little bit then with rubbing compound just polished it to blend it in… just human nature but I always noticed that spot but when I told somebody else to check it they couldn’t see it....

Yeah but the Billiard Teal is a funny color, it is darker inside or in the shade, more brilliant in the sunlight

Reason why there’s so many hit and runs is because the perpetrator nine times out of 10 has no insurance has a warrant or doesn’t even have a drivers license…

Jack, sorry to hear about the bike, people are so irresponsible these days.

Yesterday when picking up the trike at the dealer’s the service manager pointed out a “scratch” on friend’s trike fender. It had been left overnight the day before. It got gouged and scraped BAD.. into the fiberglass. They denied it happened there but could not explain how that fresh, obvious, deep gouge was not noted on the incoming sheet by the service manager.

They were big about it though.. sent a little tube of touch-up paint home with it… yeah right people…. Paint ain’t going to fill in the missing fiberglass.

Been there too.

I’ve had a similar problem with another bike in the past.Now when I drop off my bike or car for service I take bunches of pictures with the cell phone showing the condition of the vehicle being sure to include enough in the background to show where it is.

Haven’t needed to prove the condition of my vehicle yet but I am ready if it comes up.
