Well I just extended my stay through Sunday, I have to bee in McDonough,Ga. for the 15th. through the 18th., so why not make it a two week vacation!!!!ThumbUp

The Best Western is booked. Has an alternate location been established? If not, what are your recommendations?

I just talked to the GM and he said call the best Western back and have them connect you with their other hotel right next door which is the Microtel. Make sure they give you the same rate and make sure they know you are with Trike Talk. We have filled up both hotels in the past and it looks like that may happen again this year.

I just spoke with Microtel (1-8285-926-8554) and booked a room. I did tell them we were with Trike Talk. They have 24 more rooms available at this time. Rate at this time is $69.99 a night, the lady I spoke with had no notes in the system to show the rate of $65.00 per night. She said to call Vivian (Manager) between 0700-1500 HRS tomorrow to see if they will match the Best Western rate. I will give them a call and post what I find out in the morning.
Copilot and myself will be there.

They will match the rate for sure per Michael the GM, probably hasn't made it downstream yet but they will by tomorrow. If you talk to them again they will know if not mention GM Michael approved it.

No, I registered us both as attendees at the link for Maggie Valley Registration. Doing my part to keep the head count accurate.

OK I gotcha!
Unfortunately, we must pass on Maggie Valley this year and will be canceling our reservations. A dear friend and neighbor has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been given only four to six months to live. The wife and I, along with hospice, are going to be doing whatever we can to provide support and assistance she needs.
The lady just doesn't have anyone else and she was of tremendous help to us after the death of our daughter.

I just got off the phone with Vivian. They already changed the rate to $65.00 per night and will continue to do so for future reservations during the rally.

Completely understandable, Gary. It will mean a lot to your friend (and to you and Lois) to know you are close by and are with her for the journey.

I put in for a vacation during Maggie Valley and my boss says "Haven't you already had several days off for so-called vacations this year?" and I responded thusly ..... "You can either agree to my vacation request or not but here's what will happen, you will come back to my department and say "Where's Brad?" and my staff will tell you Maggie Valley or you will already know where I am, your choice". Either way, I'm on the trike and riding with my new (yet to have met) best friends from Trike-Talk.

Mitzie and I will be arriving in Townsend the weekend before Maggie Valley. We will be there on Saturday, Sept 5th, and Sunday, Sept 6th. We generally do a little "pre-riding" then with mtn rider (Jerry), and if Mitzie's "new left knee" is ready by then, I'm sure we will again. Feel free to join us, just let me know You're coming.....ThumbUp
Also, on Monday morning, Sept 7th, We will be riding over to Maggie Valley using Little River Road, the Smokies Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a very scenic Route, and again, feel free to ride with us. We will be staying at DOCKS MOTEL and CABINS in Townsend and can meet You there. Lady Kathy and I are booked and ready to go. Kathy's sister LuAnn is also coming with us. She is the one who lost her husband in Feb. We are truly blest and excited to be seeing all of you again. Jerry and Freddy are coming to Rockford to spend some time with us next week.
I have a 2013 blue Stallion complete with a door It looks exactly the 2010 ten that got involuntarily "retired".
