XM Radio ??

Hi All,
I tried hooking the XM MYFI up on my 1500 trike today. Got power,(through the cig lighter) antenna with full signal, and I have to use a wireless FM transmitter where you'd plug in for speakers, headset etc. All I get is a static hiss through the speakers. Got the radio tuned to 88.3 and the FM transmitter also. Tried other freq. around there, nothing. This setup works in my old Nissan truck and everything else I've tried it with. How come not this? Any ideas.

no reason why it shouldn't. I have a CD changer hooked up through a FM transmitter to the radio on my daughters 97 GW.

Check where you have the antenna module located. In certain spots on the bike you'll get a ton of electronic interference. The signal still shows strong but it's a mixture of XM and electrical noise.
I had to move mine three times before I found the correct location. By the way the first two were inside the fairing. When I moved it out, I lost all the interference.
Good luck.

I'd agree with you because you've been down that road and I haven't, but...I have recorded music on the myfi and it won't play that either, and it should do that with nothing but the FM transmitter hooked up. It works that way on everything else.

Well now I feel like a bit of a fool, but the problems solved and I guess that's what it's all about.
Because of past experience I led myself to believe that my MyFi did not work with the cassette adapter. On 2 separate applications this was the case. I had to purchase an FM transmitter,(modulator), in order to make it work. Foolish me, thinking this constituted some sort of rule!

Being somewhat less stubborn than I was in the past I tried the cassette dealy and presto! music issued forth from the speakers! Sheesh, that was simple!
Thank you all for your efforts to help the blind to see. (and hear)
