Have not bought a trike yet, but curious. Those of you that do have, do you feel the trike moves a round more in the wind than a 2 wheeler ?

In my opinion

Seems to me to move less better foot print on ground, you still get buffeted but not like your scooting off lane or cross traffic. I have not been spooked yet on the trike, two wheelers I have been spooked often but that was years ago.ThumbUp ride safely fearless.

Our trike is much more stable in the wind. More aerodynamic drag in strong headwinds though but that's to be expected.

I think there is less wind effect on a trike. I was blown around the road way more on my various 2 wheelers than I have been on the trike. Especially on the big full fairing touring 2 wheelers like my Goldwings and Electraglides.

The trike is more stable in a crosswind and in the turbulence of 18 wheelers, more like a small car. There is also the wind hitting the fenders blowing up behind you a bit. I can really tell the difference when Gloria is in the passenger seat. Her legs and body break up the airflow and lessen the wind on my back.

Never been blown around on any Trike i had... Yes you do get a little push when passing an 18 wheeler but not even close to riding a two wheeler... The trick when passing an 18 wheeler or for that matter any vehicle' Is not to lolly -Gag when passing. When it's safe to pass power on and go!

The wheel base and foot print of two auto tires on the rear end of trikes tend to balance out the effect of the lager silhouette in windy conditions. High velocity winds require greater risk management skills in any vehicle.

As all have stated here, I to feel the trike is more stable than two-wheeler in the wind. Semi trucks don't seem to blow you around on the freeway as much. A headwind will cause more drag from the wide rear fenders though.

No problems in a crosswind with the trike, it's very stable. The wind will blow my body around, especially the head but not a problem for the bike.

Yes sir the trike is more stable in the wind. I have been blown across the seat but the trike stayed right in line. I was heading home during a tornado watch and got caught in some terrible wind some cagers were having more trouble than I was.

Thanks to all who have replied. Reason i asked ,just spent 2 days fighting a very strong wind all across Co,Ut, & now into Nv. Trike is definately in my future. Now to decide on a new Tri or have the Ultra MotorTriked

I agree with all of the assessments. I can ride past an 18 wheeler on mine, and I feel no more wind movement than I would in my car.

Not no but hell no !

I just did a 7 state round trip from TX to CA and back. 4,236 miles in 7 days. This trike is so stable ........... Right from the get go I noticed that semi's had no effect or did side winds in the mountains. I went through some spots in CA, AZ, NM, NV, UT and, CO that would have been an issue on two wheels.
