I put over 15000 miles on my American Elite reversed since June. I think you'll be glad you did the swap. Have fun on the trip.
Time for a new battery. The old one was a drag specialities and almost didn’t start when I left work the other night. It’s great I have a batteries plus close.
I did find the strap was ripped. I guess I'll order another one later. It doesn't seem really necessary.

Installed a Rekluse clutch slave cylinder on my '18 TG. All I can say is WOW. It will most definitely help with my arthritic left hand and wrist. It is all of the advertised 30% lighter clutch pull. Only downside so far was having to drop the exhaust to get the cover off.

We did a breakfast run yesterday, about 80 miles round trip then spent an hour cleaning the love bugs off. Probably not going to ride for a week or so because of those buggers, they're very acidic and need cleaned off right away.

You have to understand......Engineers and for the most part designers don't ever work on things that they engineered/designed .....Thats not their job ..Their job is to make it last till the warrteny runs out and to look pretty while doing so....

Believe me, I understand. I've been fixing engineer screw ups my whole career.

And did any of them amid that they were wrong… the closest you can ever get them to admit to being wrong is when they say that’s Not necessarily so… lawyers will also use that line when they are wrong..

Funny how over the years HD has depended on owners to do the R&D to their bikes and make them more reliable
That’s called free research and development they ain’t so dumb as you think they are

I used to get that for about 30 years. Now I get "You're just a maintenance supervisor, what do you know?" :laugh:

First, I was gonna install a2” tank lift but in m6 infinite wisdom I didn’t disconnect the fuel line and proceeded to snap the fuel rail. Luckily, it’s a $22 part and the local dealer had it in stock . Now the tank lift is on, the bike cranked back up and there are no leaks or parts left on the floor of the garage.

Finished up the 1K service and gave it a good cleaning. The HD oil filter funnel did not work out so well for me.

I bought it on a whim ....Just used it once and now it resides in my pile of junk next to some of the stuff i bought from the J C Whitney catalog from the bygone years....:laugh:...
How many of us bought one and then tossed it!
Yea…For me anyway I found it was easier for me to just let the oil go where it wants to go….And then spray the underside with degreaser and then hose it down from my hot water spicket/tap…

Add a couple of feet of oil hose, brackets and adapters, for several hundred bucks:gah:

Wipe up and rinse off some spilled oil.ThumbUp
Im too old to clean up from a bad designed filter mess . Spend it on yourself , or leave it to someone else .

Ordered a set of 12” Dominator miter chrome apes pre wired except for the throttle cable. Can’t wait to get them installed and riding, forgot to say all for $389.00 shipped

Got the 12” chrome mitered pre wired.
I left my house just before daybreak on the Tri-Glide to get my Sons‘Grandson and my New York State big game hunting licenses..160+ Round Trip…Great scenic ride along the Delaware river, but when I got there only to find out that the sporting good store close on Tuesdays…Another ride coming up soon..

I hate when that happens but it’s an excuse for another ride.
It’s my own fault I should’ve called them Monday but I relied on their website I guess something happened and they had to close it’s a small mom and pop type store..
Right on. Not many days left for riding, take advantage of it.
