What did you do to your Spyder today?

Any project is involved for me anymore. I just can't get down and crawl around on the cement any more like I used to. There is only one cover to remove, then take the main shaft nut off and slide the clutch out of the way pull the old shaft out put the new in and button it up. Two hour job that shoud only take me about 4 or5 hours.

Good luck on your project. Better than taking it to a dealership. The downside is getting up off the floor gracefully. It can be ugly. Lol

I sacrificed my old harbor freight trailer for the main frame. The top was some scrap plywood and 4x4 screwed down. The ramps obviously were not made by me. I used 3/4" black iron pipe for the ramps to hang off. If you are interested I will take better pictures and provide measurements. I will say I should have made it a little shorter as I only needed to provide 2 ft clearance from the bottom of the frame and I actually made them 2 ft tall.

your pictures and drawing are perfect. Since I don't weld I will figure out a way to bolt it all together. I think I will use a couple of steel stools and cut them down. Thanks a lot 79 Spitfire.

Went south on 101 to visit my Brother. We talked motorcycles and went out for Tacos in Fortuna Ca.
Got back to camp and cleaned the Spyder after 3 rides of neglect. I sure miss my garage.
Looks like will be in our house in roughly 29 days.
