What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

I have always changed all my shifters to heim joint rod ends. They will last a lifetime and not leave you stranded like the cheap factory joints.

I installed a heel shift today, I dunno why I waited so long

A note, the box says parts are made in USA, China and Singapore

The lever is pretty light weight, chrome is good. Hardware is good quality, I am OK with this

Note, the pinch bolts are now thru bolts with self locking nuts, a big improvement IMO

I had a Dr visit today, it was colder than normal here this morning@32 degrees when I left the house

I had my chaps on so it was not too bad

It was nice to have my heel shifter on my 21 Freewheeler, it got a work out today

LOL! I've got to get rid of some of the stuff in there. I actually do a lot of shop work out there. If I were to turn the camera around you'd see my workbench and storage cabinets where my gun stock and recoil pad work gets done. I test fire some small caliber stuff out there as well. Nothing big, don't want to upset the neighbors too much

Yup, we almost always get a good cold snap in January, but Bike Week is coming and that means Spring time

Today I added extended shift pegs to my Freewheeler, I hate the wimpy stock ones

J & P catalog shows no fit for 2021 FLRT, I questioned that since I already put that same part number on the front already. Their tech department said they could not yet confirm that, so I rode down to the Daytona store, bought the peg and put it on in the parking lot.

I had the tech come out to see the job so they can confirm the fitment, lets see how long it takes them to do it.

After 3 months of waiting my spark plug fin set arrived from HD today. Easy install and I think it makes the 114 Milwaukee Eight motor look complete on the left side.

Ordered ComfortZoneRide floorboard mount highway pegs and polished it up for Thursday's ride-it is going to be close to 70 degrees here that day. Average is 48 so we are being spoiled. Of course we're in a severe drought so it's not good, but.......... :clapping:

Installed My DK Customs Floorboard Extenders

Got the floorboard extenders from DK yesterday and it was too nice not to put them on today, despite supposedly being working. Very clear instructions and easy installation. I haven't had it out on the road yet, but just sitting on it I can already feel the difference. It's amazing what 1" can do. Thank you LadyOnAMission for the tip and the link and DK Customs for a nice product and quick shipping.



And I can fold both sides up all the way now, should I have a need to do that. Never could before.

Nothing today but yesterday.........

Cold today in north Texas but yesterday it went up to 78. Five of us drove to Tishomingo Oklahoma for lunch. Ended up putting 261 miles on Freewheeler. Great day.

Haven't disturbed the '21 Freewheeler since Christmas Day and FINALLY caught a break in the ice and snow in Jersey and got a 66 degree day with sunshine. Closed up shop and put 50 miles on. Feels like it's been forever. Might last another day or two, but the weather people lie so not holding my breath. One thing I was curious about, other than trying out the DK floorboard extensions which worked out great, was if the spark plug fins actually did anything except fill in that gap by the plugs. Stuck my finger tip on them when I got back and they were damn hot! So got to figure that they're actually drawing heat away from the cylinders with the rest of the fins and are at least a minor aid in cooling. Guess we'll see.

The temp in New York was 55 yesterday and 39 today. I'm glad I was able to go for a short 40 mile ride yesterday. It was great. I hope the warmer temps are coming soon.

I rode to Daytona today, lots of bikes every where. There were lots of trikes out and about today

All in all a good day, put a bit over 200 miles on with cruise control set @ 75 I got right at 40 mpg today

I had to take my bike to the dealer first...I had no rear brakes. After bleeding of the system I'm ready to roll. I took the scenic route home.
