What is the reliability on VTX Hondas? I know Gold Wings can run reliably for a very long time, lots of miles, but know nothing about the VTX line, other than I like the look, and the seating position is good for me, better than most Harleys.<br />

I've never owned one, Oldnewby, but everyone who has one seems to really like it! I've heard nothing but great things about power, and comfort, and reliability. I'm sure you'll hear from several owners, but IMO if you've found a ride that fits you and your budget and is the excellent quality that Honda is known for.......go for it!

If it is like everything else with H O N D A on the side of it. It will last. My 500 Shadow is a 1986 with 45,000 on it and it runs like a top. I know the Goldwing are good for 200,000 at least.

I'm a Harley guy, but I have heard nothing but GREAT things about the VTX. If you found one that you like at the right price, don't wait.

I have a 03 1800 VTX R model. Around 40,000 K. Have never had any type of problem. Love it, power is awesome. Wish it had less miles would get it triked. Would like to find low mileage one already triked. Would want to find R or N models as they have larger gas tanks.
