19 days until we take the Valk to CSC to get triked out!!!! Sooo excited! Signed up for Trike classes as NVCC for the end of April. :woohoo: My family and friends are about ready to ship me down to Virginia early just to get me to stop talking about it! I've been scouring the forums for the best advice on riding the trike, and this one has proven the most informed. :putergreet: We're going to see if CSC will take pictures of the build as they build it. We'll keep you posted on that. There will at least be a 'before' and an 'after' shot. This is going to be a GREAT summer!!!! :Excited:

JoJo, you are starting this year off exactly the right way! :10:
Congrats! you will love triking, and the class is an excellent way to get sure of yourself on it.

JoJo nice decision.. I myself did it to my ultra last year and am very happy, nice design and ride... good luck and happy travels

You're really going to like the folks at the CSC plant in Arrington, VA - they're some of the nicest people we've ever met. Hope you come on down to Maggie Valley in June and join us for the Rally in the Valley!

We're putting an 8 degree rake on it. We debated between 6 and 8, and our rake guy was firm that we should put on the 8. Husband has the Interstate and mine is a standard. Future improvements will be a Russel Day-Long seat and to finish chroming it out. Probably going to keep it black, like husband's. The black has such a nice, deep shine to it and really sparkles with the shiny chrome. :D

Congratulations!!
The Valkyrie makes and excellent trike. One of my favorites.
This was our 2000 CSC, from the past, riding the Tail of the Dragon in Deal's Gap.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoyed ours!!

Hey JoJo,
You gonna have such a looooong wait. I have been waiting since Oct. for my Valk to have the csc work done on mine. Checked on her friday and he says it sould be ready by the 18th of March if he don't run into trouble. She is so purty green/silver and chrome with green lights to sparkle. E N J O Y !!!!!

Sounds awesome Gabby! Post a picture when you get it! I'd LOVE to see it. We're trailering the valk on the 11th and picking it up on the 18th. Are those green lights neons? I want to put neons on mine, too. I'm thinking the cool white ones (they have a bluish tint). That should look good with the Fast Black and chrome. Hey! Maybe I'll see you on the 18th! How cool would that be? Both of us picking up our valks at the same time!!!!

The neons are under the bike and the other leds are scattered from end to end. I am waiting until he calls that he has finished it. He is trying for the 18th in Maysville.. Hope he get's it done soon. She is so PURTY !!!

I agree with JJTriker, I have put over 30K on my Valk Interstate trike (Trike Shop) and at first went with the 4 degree rake, was never happy, winter of 2009 changed to a 6 degree, couldn't be happier....Looking forward to seeing you and your trike at Maggie Valley

Hi you will be soooo happy !! the valkyrie makes a great trike !! It has all the power when you need it and it rides like a dream !!! i have a roadsmith and i love the way it hugs to curves !!! GOOD LUCK !!! RIDE SAFE !!! P.S. you made a smart move with the 8 degree rake --because the valk. front is so heavy --

When we were riding the Valkyrie trikes I used to tell people that reverse was setting on the back seat. ThumbUp
I used to tell my wife that if she was going to set back there and tell me where to go and how to drive, she was going to have to do some of the work! I won't post what she would say to that.............:censored:

You didn't have it on your 2 wheeler ( unless it was a late model Wing or BMW) and a 3 wheeler is MUCH easier to back up heck sometimes I just pull in the clutch and roll back wards. As said up above park intelligently. Think of it as parking with a trailer. Drive through a parking spot. Roll back into a curb, park facing up hill if the lot is sloped. Have the co rider jump off and push <LOL>;)

The Black Dragon is our 2001 Valk IS Trike, triwing kit, Steerite 61/2 deg. rake, HD progressive front springs, Jet kit, K&N air. I just removed all antennas and installed hidden ones for cleaner look.
It only has 26000 miles on her and we hope many more for many years.
Enjoy your Valk, they are a great bike and better as a trike!

JoJo Last spring I was in your shoes. I dropped off my 1999 valk at the csc factory in Virginia to be converted. I am sure you will be thrilled with your conversion as I am with mine. The csc company and employees were great, especially considering that they had a fire in their building three days after I dropped off my bike. The bike was undamaged by the fire and was finished after a short delay.

Got it back and am soooooo in awe of it! I can't stop looking at it! We just spent the afternoon putting chrome on it. Tomorrow, we're going to put the windshield on it and take it across the street to play in the parking lot. I'll get some better pics of it then.

WOO HOO!!!! Congrats on the new baby! Your hubby will be hearing even more about the trike now :). Have fun, take your time, and you will soon be zipping around without problem.

On my fourth C.S.C. 1500 and my third Valkyrie one which I put 307k miles on . Replaced 3 set of alt. brushes, three sets of timming belts , one set of alt. bearings, and that was it . Love the Valkyrie. I have several bikes but its my number one bike . Honda droped the Valkyrie to go heads up with Harlie and now Honda's having to eat there VTX bikes

ThumbUp. I absolutely love the Valkyrie. I have a 2001 Interstate that gets more attention than anything I have ever had or know of. I also own a Harley FatBoy which is pretty sharp lookin', but in no way garners the attention of the Valk. Mechanically, the Valk is so much better designed and engineered. Dan
