I’m not questioning your design, just curious about the layout of your shocks. In every application I’ve noticed it seems shocks were usually in the vertical position. On a few applications such as the IRS on the CSC Trike they incorporated a mono shock in a horizontal position above the rear differential with the left and right side upper A-Arms attachments to opposing ends of the shock. In my limited knowledge I don’t see the rear suspension benefiting from the design pictured. Again l’m NOT questioning your design, just curious. :wave4:

PS,,,,, I enjoy watching all your threads on your builds. :wave4:

one thing is the height

another consideration is the fine tuning of a heavier shock/spring into a lighter one by laying it over at the angle that gives the right support and travel to the suspension.

2021-02-27-256 Shock mounts.JPGCan you see where I am going with these shock mounts? right one will be adjustable for ride attitude... Going to look pretty cool HUH!!!:clapping:

But I live in a state of confusion :xzqxz::wave4:
Hi David, thanks for stopping by, The reason I am leaning the shock is for looks, It will help give it the wow effect as will the bicycle springer up front, the batteries will go under the shocks and the seat above. I thank all you guys for your support on this build and the others... TrikeMan did you see my 1st trike in "Introductions"? What does it look like with the bars you have flipped over?
Hi Rallsqh, I am just using this neck and bars from my wife's 1956 Schwinn all beat up for looks, trying to find a heavy duty good looking 1" thread goose neck and start with straight bars and maybe pull backs?1Trikester.jpgThis is the "Trikester" I built many years ago with pull backs, looked and worked great, SO?

2021-03-06-272 Mock Up.JPG-2021-03-06-277 Rear.jpg-2021-03-06-278.jpg Now this is MOCK-UP, You can see where I am going with this, hope to get the goose neck and handlebars soon, Ride height? Wife say's more up...:D

Do you have trouble with registrations in Ca?
Hi Jack, No not with this electric 25 MPH senior citizen machine (mobility scooter) Just don't drive stupid...EDIT Sometimes the DMV changes things and you made me look this up again just to make sure, I WAS WRONG AGAIN, Now the 3 wheel falls under, CVC 406. Motorized Bicycle(A) A “motorized bicycle” or “moped” is a two-wheeled or three-wheeled device having fully operative pedals for propulsion by human power, or having no pedals if powered solely by electrical energy, and an automatic transmission and a motor that produces less than 4 gross brake horsepower and is capable of propelling the device at a maximum speed of not more than 30 miles per hour on level ground..

2021-03-22-325.jpg-2021-03-21-322.JPG-2021-03-18-317 Seat Post.JPG-Back from the Alum. welder, Trying the other forks first, Ordered a 10" Rotor because of the swing arm/HeimJoint offset and started alignment of the caliper. The seat post/forward shock mount is ready for measurements and cutting to size with the seat bracket. Still waiting to order the electric kit, $$$:wave4:

2021-03-23-326.jpg Garage Time:clapping: Waiting on the 3rd set of levers, The other 2 sets have broken switches, so I found a USA company that makes them for electric bikes that need shut off and/or brake lights. Fender brackets?

I love the way it sits (attitude) Working on the seat post, Fender brackets, 3rd set of levers are in and look really professional, off today to pick up the caliper bracket that will be welded to the swing arm for trial then back for final weld, When the money comes in I'll order the EV kit and start placement of the Batteries and wires...:clapping:
