steerng head bearings

Mine has 53K. A couple thousand back, mine seemed to have a stiff spot in the steering. I loosened it up and sure there was no grease on the bearings. I did not want to disassemble and change out the bearings at that time. I packed it as full of grease as I could get it and it really helped. Next time I do a tire change, I may do the bearings. It seems that there is not much grease put on these bearings at the factory. I would recommend that they be checked as soon as possible.
