Stay Away From Showrooms!

Orange

Love that new color combination - my dealer has one and I tried (very hard) to deal on it,

sadly they are penalizing me for RIDING mine........they will not give me anything for my

2010 trike because I OVERRODE IT (even still on extended warr), gee I thought that was

what that’s what they are for???????

Anyway, guess I’ll just ride on down to Vegas this week-end and put another thousand +

miles on her, LOVE MY TRIKE!

P.S. Only 100,251 miles on her now.

Isnt RETIREMENT G R E A T!

Congrats Joe and Bob. :clapping:

This is the whole reason I won’t test ride a 19. I know I will want it. Every time I go to my dealer they offer to move all my stuff over if I bought a new one. I think my husband holds his breath whenever we’re there :D

You are 100% correct Carol, do not take that test drive on one. There were three of us on TGs when I made my deal at Black Wolf Harley. One buddy went with me on my test drive, riding his 2018. About half way through the test drive we stopped in a parking lot and he did just a couple minutes on the 2019. The next day both of them were doing their test drives and trying to make a deal. Trading up just one year the dealership just couldn't make the numbers right for them though.

The Scorched Orange/Black Denim 2019 TGU was delivered to the house this afternoon. It is a beauty! I plan to put a thin coat of wax on the shiny surfaces today and begin the break-in process tomorrow.

WOW. That's a pretty one.

Local dealer has a 2019 Freewheeler in that color in the showroom (as of Wednesday ).

Congrats Capt Bob on the new one, can't wait to see one in person at the dealer here, it has to be better looking in person than a pic

All for now Trampas

Yep, nice looking ride Bob. We will pull into our winter spot December 1. We are on the other side but will be taking some rides your direction. Will be easy to see you on the road. Congrats!

The last couple weeks we have been riding all over the mountains with two other couples on our trikes. We have done a pretty good job of covering all the rides from eastern Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. We ride between 150 and 250 miles a day and then return to the campground each evening worn out.

Of course whenever we come across a Harley dealership we stop in. It usually isns't an issue for me. I have everything I want on my 16 TG and tee shirts don't interest me much anymore.

Yesterday we stopped at the dealership in Bristol VA (Black Wolf HD). The gals went one way and all three of us went to the 19 trikes. I swear a dark blue and silver one said something to me! Anyway, to make a long story short, I am buying the darn thing.

I only took about a 30 minutes test drive on it but there were two things that impressed me. The torque difference and power between a 103 and 114 was much greater than I thought it would be, and the suspension was about 50% to 75% better. I don't actually pick it up until this afternoon and due to the rain from hurricane Michael we won't ride until Friday, but in the next 3 or 4 days while in this area we plan on putting 600 to 800 miles on her riding in the mountains and valleys. I can't wait!

That's great! I second the quote of Harley dealerships. Yesterday afternoon I went to Roughneck Harley in Longview, Tx to see what kind of trade I would get. I left the dealership @ 9 PM with a new kenetic green Triglide.

Congrats to all new trike owners. I'm really green with envy for that Kinetic Green Trike.ThumbUp

Oh! Thankfully, there were no 2019 Trikes at my dealers this weekend. Didn't have to shade my eyes as I walked to the parts department.:)

The Most Valid Reason of All

I have the one most important thing on my side that will make it easy to walk through a showroom and leave with the same trike I arrived with.

FEAR!

The WIFE GOD would not look kindly on a major hit to the wallet...lol

I love this color. I have seen several new trikes, but I haven't seen this color. Ride safe.

I hate you guys. I was planning on selling my 13 Triglide next spring and giving up riding. Now that I've seen that beautiful orange and black machine the wheels in my head are spinning...................So far the local dealers around me only have black ones. I know, I know, black is fastest, but not for me.;)

I don't understand where that notion that Black is the fastest color comes from:Shrug:

According to Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics Weekly' The September edition..

Black is not a color, Instead it is a layer of pigment [Black] that absorbs ambient light which in turn causes a high molecular level of negative drag ....

IE; A slowdown effect..

Which will incur a 10% decrease in acceleration with a corresponding loss of top speed and MPG...:xzqxz:.....

Good thing you have someone to fear. I live alone, so I have to keep myself in line.

Sometimes it's not an easy task. :xzqxz:

In Harley Davidson’s space-time continuum, black motorcycles are faster. However, you can overcome the “black motorcycle” doctrine with shinny or black chrome wheels. Unfortunately, black motorcycles and chrome-wheeled motorcycles have their limitations. Their speed limit is 670,616,629 miles per hour (or 186,282 miles per second) in all continuums. It’s the law!
