I would like to know more about this feature . I haven't seen any posts or threads on this feature . I've heard it makes trike sound like a tractor at idle . I'm looking for feedback from those that use it when stopped. *I would think this would help a lot with heat build up when doing the sturgis shuffle . I know this is not new to recent bike models , but coming from 03 roadking , it will be a new feature for me . how well does it work??*

Used it for years. Like it. Can't hurt. Would have been nice to know it was a feature first time it did it on Cross Bronx Expressway years ago. Thought there was a problem.

Like Bozo, I've used it for years. Can't say how well it works 'cuz I've never done without it on newer trikes. Seems to keep my right cheek from cooking but not as well as the water cooled heads on the TK.

Had it go on, Or is it off.. Once when in 90 degree temps and stuck behind line painters in PA and crawling for 15 miles., A Key icon would come on.. Once i cracked the throttle a hair the rear cylinder come back on..That was a few years ago, Since then and after true duels cat out and stage 1.. Hasn't happen again...

All it does It shuts down the rear cyl if too hot, if stuck in traffic at idle. As soon as you throttle up it should return to normal. My recommendation is to replace the useless air temp gauge with a oil temp/head temp gauge. At least you will know what's going on and weather to shut down or not while in traffic. Google Marlin Clocks.com , they have a good set up for this. They also have a head temp sender that mounts to the cyl head bolt. Thats the sender to get. If you are afraid to do it yourself, your dealer should be able to install it. Also it matches the oem gauges. Not cheep, labor intensive to do. JMO

Turn it on, leave it alone. The computer knows when it needs to be turned on and turned off. Yes, it does help considerably in hot climates in heavy traffic.
