As the title says I finally broke down and ordered a softbrake clutch lever, years ago I was thinking of the aim or the rekluse slave cylinder but did not do it. My parts man told me and he very smart on harley parts. worked for J&P cycle for many years and finished up at the harley dealer before he retired, sure miss him, basically he said the harley slave cylinder is better than the other two, that's why I never bought them. I knew about the softbrake lever but just kept putting it off, now I have it and I love it, like I said I should have did it many years ago, very happy with it. If anybody that has the hydraulic clutch I highly recommend this lever, puts the friction zone closer to grip, did I say how much I love this lever, LOL

I have to admit, I’ve only heard about the “softbrake clutch lever” a few times… but never looked more into it.
Does it feel any easier? Or just simply just keeping the engagement “friction zone” closer?

That’s actually how my 2009 Road King (non hydraulic) clutch felt. It was close, smooth & easy to hold.

My 2014 TG is hydraulic and the first thing I noticed was a harder pull & how far out the friction zone engagement was. In fact before taking the trike before I bought it, I even questioned that and the HD Tech said that was normal. (One of our riding guys has 2016, and indeed feels exactly the same, so that confirms that).

But I’m all ears on a smoother, easier pull & closer engagement.

It doesn't make it any easier but to me it seems easier because of the friction zone being closer than before, also it could be that I had to grease the pin up so that might have help, but I'm happy with it.

I agree. This was one of the first mods to my Freewheeler and one of the best. The clutch is much easier to control. Well worth it!

It helps on the hydraulic clutches because there is no adjustment like a cable clutch has.

Mine is cable so I’m thinking a mueller easy pull will be installed. I had one on my 07 and it was nice.

I installed their levers in 2018, this was one of the first mods I have done, and it made a huge difference.
