hi, I currently own a Kawasaki storm trike. I like the trike but find I need more storage for weekends away.... and more power would be nice.

The tri glides are beautiful but are also not cheap, so I guess I'd like to hear pros and cons from those of you who already own one, please let me know what you like and what is not to your liking.

thanks so much,
Stan

Maybe connect a trailer hitch, to the back of your bike, and purchase a trailer, I did that for my GW TRIKE and love the added extra space I get when I'm on a trip..
I got to admit that I honestly have NO IDEA what a Kawasaki Storm is, or how much power it has (so I'm kinda talk'nnn out of azz when give'nn you my advice)

I love my Tri Glide but as you said … not cheap. Needed upgrades like suspension, seat and bars make ita bit more. I started with a 14 and got a sweet deal. There are plenty of low miles garage queens out there . If you are open to traveling a bit to find one you can score good deals.

I assume your trike is a Kawaski with the Lehman Storm kit, probably a 900cc motor?

If you are looking at buying a late model trike, either the M8 motor or even a 103 motor, you will probably notice slightly more torque. I would imagine that Lehman kit slows your Kawaski down a lot.

The difference between metric and Harley bikes is more or less preferences. Comparing Harley trikes is probably no different. They have a fair amount of travel storage, they do hold their value well, and I think they are very enjoyable to ride.

thanks for the response, yes it is a 900cc trike

My TG is a 2017 with the 107 M8. Bought it new.
We can take 10-day trips regularly with it using an extra bag on the luggage rack along with the tour pack and trunk with no problems except occasionally we will find a gift for the grandsons that we can't haul back and have to have it shipped.

If we run short on clothes, we usually stay at motels with laundry.
We will do several trips a year that are under a week and will carry the empty bag to haul souvenirs home.
You would be surprised as to how much you can actually fit in the bike if you organize it well.
There are some excellent videos that DK Custom have posted on how to pack.

The bike itself has plenty of power but as with everything I had to tweak it a little to see if I can get a little more out of it and cool it down some which if more of a problem than the power.
The suspension is rough but can be smoothed out with some $$$. DK Custom also has the solution for that.

If I were starting over, I would look at used as I have found the same model with less than 5000 miles in shops all over that were at least cheap enough to cover all the mods I have made since I bought it.
