Well, I guess i've finally got the answer that sold me on what type (wt) oil to use in my 1800 goldwing trike.Met a gentleman this morning who has a 1800 goldwing same model as mine an 08. He bought new and after first oil changs went to castrol 10w 30. full syn. Now has 130.000 miles on it and has never had the 1st problem. Told me he changes oil and filter at 10000 mi. It's hard to argue with that. just saying....

Castrol makes a really good synthetic oil. I used it for several years before getting hooked up with Amsoil. 10K is the number I use also... Have nearly 150K between two GL1800s and going strong. Keep doing what works!!
