Running Board DIY

I have no desire for running boards, I like reaching the ground to push back if needing to back up, but often I see posts from others that do desire running boards. I know they used to make them for our trike, but I crossed that bridge years ago and I think it fell in since. Anyways, looking through old pictures , discovered this one from about 2003 taken at Pomeroy, Ohio Wings & Ribs Festival. It's a home made set, I watched the rider stand up on the right one before throwing a leg over, no give that I saw. Just to say "it can be done". Over the years I've seen others, some crude, some not.
