RT-S Spyder

I haven't had a chance yet to demo the touring version but I did see the Blue color trike at a local bike show. I have to say it was a very pretty looking machine. Now if I can only get in to take a ride.

It's a very nice ride, buth I'm sure you stick with the 1FR and 2RR because
it is a very different ride! Reverse sit on your trike, imagine a handle bar and to turn in a corner, that's pretty much what you would experience.
However if you got a chance to ride one of these give it a try! :)

I tell ya, I just saw the RT yesterday and if finances weren't so dire, I'd definitely get one! Ah well,, maybe in the next life! lol

I test rode a basic version several months ago and jumped on the RT this weekend while visiting family. The RT was listed at $24,4**.00. I had a friend jump on the back because his wife didn't want to. I'm a short guy, he's a tall guy. Several things that I noticed. To me it is strange with their 'automatic' to have to shift up and not being able to downshift manually. I would like the option of it's either auto or it's not. Even with my short legs, I thought the foot brake was way to close (don't get me started saying how these should also have a hand brake). In the back, at over 6 feet, my buddy was experiencing a tremendous amount of buffeting, even with the windshield topped out. All of that aside, I think these things are a blast. It may come down to me getting one but I am still holding out to test ride a conventional trike; a lot of you folks on here have conventional trikes that, IMHO, beat out the Spyder, Stallion and similar trikes in terms of sheer looks. That's my .02.

i test rode a 2010 rt-s demo the other day. liked it. Seemed a little under powered though. Almost bought it but the wife gave me one of those" well, if u like it, get it". She wants a HD triglide.

Nice choice Stephen. The 2011 look good. It's just personal choice & I just like the original version more. Besides, I have yet to fill the trunk & I just don't need that much carrying room. Although I do have a set of throw over saddlebags if I can get a road trip fit in that's longer than a weekend. Enjoy the search, they make the morning commute a lot more fun<br />

On August 25th, I bought a 2010 RT-S and love it, love it, love it!!! I've been riding since 1971, wore out numerous bikes, primarily Wings and Harleys. I must say that my RT-S is the most comfortable, smooth and stable machine I've ever ridden. Less than a month after I got the RT-S, I went to Street Vibrations with my Spyder and no problems what-so-ever. That road between Reno and Virginia City has some beautiful twisties. The RT-S ate them up for breakfast...you'd have thought I was on a Spyder RS or a sport bike of some sort the way I was carving that highway! Power? Plenty of power...if you crank the throttle when you're between 5-7k rpm you'd better hang on.....great power band. I just hope I win the lottery so I can afford the Can Am trailer, though. They're mighty proud of the trailer - 4K?

Come on!

Lot of people out there right now trying to sucker punch those with deep pockets on Spyder accessories. One want's 3 thousand dollars for a set of floor boards.:eek: I'll build my own set of brackets for highway pegs and I'm done with with it.

I've never ridden one but I met a couple guys last year that rode down from Canada to the Dragon. They really bragged them up and no way could I keep up on my Ultra!!! Those Spyders took the twisties like they were on rails!!
